Absolutely unmissable! Seriously, I'm pretty sure this was the best day of my life. The bus ride was quiet and uneventful (bring a book or something, it's long) but when you get there...oh my gosh I have never seen something more amazing!! We had two tour guides, Brian and Richard, who were both incredible. Knew their stuff, super helpful, made sure we all knew what was going on at any given time. After Maid of the Mist (and a couple of minutes at the gift shop), they take you on a tour around the national park and show you the best views and photographic spots. Brian even made sure to take a photo of me looking like I'm backflipping into the falls . Then you get two hours of free time to go and grab dinner (or go to Canada like I did) before you hop back on the bus back to NYC. Protip, if you want to go to Canada, leave yourself at least 1.5h and look at the queue to get back into US before you cross the border. You need your passport and visa (if you have one) if you're not from US

I joined the day tour, leaving Manhattan at 7am and back to Manhattan at 4am the next day. The bus was ok but the socket didn’t work. Everything was quite rush, 20 min for breakfast stop, 5 min for toilet stops, etc. The Maid of the Mist was super fun but prepared for the wet. For dinner, you don't have much choice, either Hard Rock Cafe or food court serves Chinese / Indian food. If you are staying in NYC and don't want to drive to Niagara Falls yourself, joining this tour is your best choice. The day tour may be better than the overnight tour because you will arrive at Niagara Falls at around 3:30pm and leave at 8:30pm which also give you the chance to see the light show in the evening.

The long drive from New York City to Niagara Falls State Park is worth it. Getting to see the rapids, the falls from the US and Canada on the Maid of the Mist was a sight to behold. You most definitely will enjoy the the walking tour as you will get to see the Falls from different areas of the park and the history of this natural marvel. The Lights that illuminate the Falls at night as well as the Fireworks. Our guides shared their extensive knowledge of the history of the Falls and funfacts about persons who contributed to the legacy the Falls.
