Full description

Remember the terrible events of 11 September 2001 on a 9/11 walking tour and journey through the former World Trade Center in New York. Guided by New Yorkers with a personal connection to 9/11, the tour includes personal anecdotes and touching stories of tragedy and heroism. Meet at St. Paul's Chapel to see the church that miraculously survived the falling buildings and debris, despite being only a block away from the World Trade Center. Learn how it became a makeshift rescue center and its iron fence a bulletin board. Hear heroic stories of the emergency responders at the Firefighter's 9/11 Memorial Wall, and see the Engine and Ladder Company 10/10, the fire station at Ground Zero. Enter the 9/11 Memorial and see the Reflecting Absence Memorial, a man-made waterfall symbolizing the vast void left by the tragedy. Look at the names of the nearly 3,000 victims placed around the waterfall next to their friends, family members, and colleagues. See the new Freedom Towers and World Trade Center rising from the ground. Stay as long as you wish at this beautiful 8-acre oasis. Make use of timed entry tickets at the 9/11 Museum and One World Observatory. Once inside, you are free to explore at your own pace as your guide will not accompany you here. See artifacts from the events of 9/11, and hear recordings from people who were there on the day. Take a stroll to the Observatory to marvel at its engineering and architecture. Head to the lobby of Freedom Tower for the "Voices" documentary dedicated to the men and women of the World Trade Center. Then take the "Sky Pod" elevator, and ascend 1,250 feet in 60 seconds. Once there, see the See Forever Theater on floor 102, before accessing the main observation deck on the 100th. Enjoy immersive LED displays, interactive touchscreen videos, and dining options, as well as the view of the iconic Manhattan skyline.

Our tour guide was Ray, he was very Knowledgeable and made everyone feel welcome! He was very happy to answer any questions anyone had and gave a deep and meaningful tour before leaving us to explore the memorial on our own. Would defiantly recommend!

Tour pkg purchased was for 2:00PM. Tour guide never showed up. Called customer service and was told your was changed to 1:00PM. I never received a phone call, email or text message of the change. Called customer service. The individual who answered the phone made us aware of what happened. Said we were on our own and he would email me the observation deck and meuseum tickets. Which he did. I have 2 issues. 1-the ticket price was including the guided tour. For whatever reasons the guided tour never showed up. I wasn’t offered any type of credit or compensation for paying for a service and not receiving all of what I paid for. 2-I paid with CC which required an email. I didn’t receive any email notifying me that there was a change in schedule for what ever reasons and that the 2:00 tour was combined to the 1:00 tour. I didn’t get 1/3 of what I paid for. I believe I should be discounted 1/3 price. All in all the meuseum and observation deck were both a wonderful experience.

Our guide Jonathan was terrific! He was very knowledgable, personable, and took an interest in each of us in his group. He even learned all of our names and where we were from! The tour was interesting, but after touring the surrounding area with Jonathan for an hour and a half and then waiting in line for a half hour or so to get into the museum, we were too tired of standing to see the museum thoroughly. The museum is well worth seeing, but if I had to do it again, I'd skip the tour. Sorry. This is no reflection on our guide at all. He was great!
