The MET is an amazing museum. Reserved a 10:00 time slot because they said to do that online, but when we checked in with our tickets they didn’t care about the time. There is SO much to see and not enough time. My friends and I tried to see as much as we could in 2 hours but it barely scratched the surface!

My experience was great. I was trained as an art historian. Having said that, the experience that an individual walks away with depends on the level of the knowledge an individual has relating to the objects they have witnessed. In particular, I look for works of are that I can relate to because I have studied that specific work. For example. When I walked into the Baptistry at the rear of the Siena Cathedral, I was blown away at a specific work by Donatello, that I wrote a 23 page paper on.

Huge museum. We were probably there for 3 hours and didn’t get to see everything. My fiancé bought a piece of artwork from Central Park prior to going there and you CANNOT bring in any artwork to the museum. We had to drop it off at the hotel which was kind of irritating but it is what it is and I’m sure they have their reasons for that. I highly recommend using this app because like every other tourist attraction in NY there will be a massive line.
