This was a no-nonsense boat outing that was just great. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Nice. It is a black rubber boat on which about 12 people straddle two parallel tubes down the middle with substantial handles to hold on to. The driver appeared to speak no English but it was not a problem at all. And the trip was all young 20-somethings, other than me, the mom of three 20-somethings. We scooted out of the bay in Nice with a fun but not frightening amount of speed, traveled along the coast for a while, and then stopped in a charming bay for about 25 minutes of swimming. It was just lovely. Then back onto the boat and back to the bay in Nice. The scenery was not to be believed. Highly recommend this trip.

My 19 year old daughter and I enjoyed the boat ride and the pretty views. We would have liked to know the names of the different places we were passing but our skipper didn’t give any commentary. We were the only English speakers on our ride but he did try his best when we attempted to ask a few questions.

Definitely worth the money to experience the views of Nice and the coast from the perspective of out on the water. The boat was comfortable, the captain was helpful/friendly/well informed about the area/spoke good English. We got all of the 1.5 hours the tour was supposed to be with a stop about halfway into it to swim and take photos. Would do it again and recommend anyone staying in Nice to book themselves a tour with Blacktenders. The only thing I would say is that when I went in July the sun only sets around 21:00 so depending on the time of year you go, an 18:00-19:30 outing won’t give you actual sunset views.
