  • From Lisbon: Fatima, Obidos, Batalha and Nazaré Group Tour

    1. From Lisbon: Fatima, Obidos, Batalha and Nazaré Group Tour

Benefit from pick-up in Lisbon city center, and then take a scenic drive to the shrine of Fatima. Learn more about the important Catholic pilgrimage site before going to the Gothic convent at Batalha. Admire the Manueline style of architecture typical of Portugal in the 16th century, and then enjoy a delicious lunch of regional food. Next, visit the beautiful seaside resort of Nazaré, popular with surfers and water sports fans. See the statue of the black Virgin Mary by Saint Joseph and look at the colorful fishing boats on the sandy beach from the top of the rock. Try some of the sweet cherry liqueur known as ginja in the medieval village of Obidos, and soak up the fairytale atmosphere of the cobbled paths and small medieval houses. Browse the handicraft stores along narrow streets, and then journey back to Lisbon through the lovely landscapes of central Portugal.

Definitely highly recommended if you want to visit 4 different towns in one day only. Nidia was great and her Italian is fabulous!

What people are saying about Obidos

All places very worthwhile to visit. Thanks to Corona we did not have to suffer from mass tourism which is usually ever-present in summer months . Nazare only has tall waves in winter months. Adrian is a great guide, giving just enough information for one not to loose concentration. He also knows when to keep quiet. He's a real gentleman......opening doors for ladies. He's also a excellent driver. The cherry port tasting in Opidos turned out to be a little expensive as the owner made sure one couldn't leave without making a purchase . His stuff is not cheap but apparently the best. But all in all a most enjoyable day.
