Glide along the Welland Canal, discovering its triumph of engineering and the history of the Niagara region. Taking a Segway tour is the perfect family activity. They are super easy to learn, no one is left behind, and everybody is having fun. You start with individual training, where each participant is allowed to get comfortable before starting the tour. You then travel along the canal on a dedicated and peaceful path, where you learn about the 3 previous canals, and why they got built in the first place. You will observe the Glendale Bridge, and learn how it works and operates. You then head to the main control center and find yourself at the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment. You will climb the escarpment before taking a break and then discover the Twin/Flight Locks. Your guides will give you some interesting information about this Welland Canal, explain how the boats are lifted in, as well as how much time it takes to do so. You then travel to Lock 5 and 6, turn back and then glide along all the way back to the museum, letting you enjoy the Segway ride. You will travel around the Museum and visit the Fallen Workers Memorial, dedicated to the 137 people who lost their lives building this 4th Canal.  Continue onto Lock 7, for the longest Segway tour available in the region. This is the only tour along the Welland Canal, it uses an easy path perfect for beginners. With its 5 or 9 kilometer length, you will be a pro on a Segway by the end the tour, and also possess impressive knowledge about the Welland Canal.

Guillaume , Thanks for making the Segway ride down Welland Canal an awesome experience. You gave us enough time to get used to the Segway at the start and always kept an eye on us all the time as we rode up and down the pathway next to the canal. My wife and me both loved the experience and would strongly recommend it to our friends and family and to any one else reading this review online.

The guide was very experienced all of knowledgeable and extremely patient and helpful excellent excellent excellent
