Great group experience - the guide (dressed in a black cape and carrying a lantern to set the mood) led us for approximately 2km meandering walk through downtown Ottawa pausing at key historical buildings. At each stop we were treated to a delightful (and spooky) tale that highlighted the historical significance and brought to life (hehe) stories about people from the past - both famous and common - and the role they played in shaping Ottawa’s history.

The guided tour was excellently delivered but I was semi disillusioned by the story. I was not that I was unhappy I didn’t have an apparition appear as I do believe in ghosts and the possibility of one getting ticked off at those that disturb them on purpose. Those people deserve what they they didn’t count on.

Je suis septique de base concernant les fantômes mais j'ai pensé que ça pouvait être une visite intéressante de la ville. Dommage que la guide n ait pas fait plus d efforts pour se faire comprendre (en parlant plus lentement par exemple) et qu'elle gloussait à la fin de ses histoires. Ça a gâché sa performance....
