Full description
Meet your Oxford University student guide in central Oxford and head for the Hogwarts' Infirmary, set in one of the halls of the famous Bodleian Library. Imagine the infirmary’s beds in place here, and admire the richly sculpted beasts and biblical carvings that appeared in many of the Harry Potter movies. Next, explore one or two of Oxford’s oldest colleges, delving into the rooms and cloisters that featured as Hogwarts’ gloomy interior. See other filming locations and hear trivia about the characters and movie productions. Test your knowledge of all things Harry Potter in our custom quiz and win a Potter-themed prize. Along the way, hear about Oxford’s influence in famous children’s literature, from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to The Hobbit. Finish with an optional tour of Christ Church (founded 1524), admission not included in the ticket price, whose hall was only an inspiration and not the actual Dining Hall at Hogwarts. Your tour includes admission to the Bodleian Library and at least two Oxford University buildings. Although sudden sites closures are beyond our control and affect all tour companies, we will offer you a full refund even if just one of the sites are not available.

Our guide Trevor was brilliant! His knowledge of the city was incredible and the information was delivered through a mixture of facts and story telling. We were totally gripped for the full two hours and felt like we gained a lot of knowledge about Oxford City centre. Excellent value for money would totally recommend ! Further, the Harry Potter tour was cancelled due to covid, but the customer service team were brilliant at keeping us informed and booking us on to Trevors tour for the same time and date. Couldn’t rate our experience highly enough! Thank you!

Sadly because of COVID we were unable to do the Harry Potter tour, instead we did the 2 hr Oxford tour, our tour guide John was brilliant and full of the history of the beautiful city, the 2 hrs flew by and we learnt lots of wonderful facts about Oxford’s history.

Lewis was very informative, he made the tour interesting! He broke up the tour with fun human like facts you can relate to. You can tell he is studying English Literature - he knows how to tell a story ...he takes you back in time, paints the picture, as if you are a fly on the wall watching C.S.Lewis talking with J.R.R Tolkien in the local pub conjuring up their next story to publish. Well worth the money, put comfortable shoes on because the legs will be walked off you! Would do this tour again. Ask him about the Blackwells book shop :-) Thanks for a good tour.
