Driving Northeast out of Cape Town, we will pass some of the most well known townships in South Africa. The first one Langa, is the oldest one in Cape Town. Compared to other squatter like townships in South Africa. Langa is well developed and has seen its local economy grow from strength to strength over the years. Next we will pass the Cape Town International Airport. Known to be Africa's most award winning and safest Airport. Then we will pass a township called Khayelitsha. In Xhosa it means 'our new home'. Measuring 10 square miles and inhabiting more than half a million people. Vast majority of her inhabitants works in town and is daily dependant on public transport. As we drive off to the Cape Winelands region, we will pass The Cape Town Film Studios. The film industry grew rapidly in the lockdown. This is where The pirate carribean and Black Snails was shooted. Next we continue to the town of Stellenbosch, known to be the second oldest colonial town in the country. Her architecture, water furrows and well over 300 old oka trees guves one a nostalgic feeling of a bygone era. Dorp street for example has the longest row of oldest buildings in the Southern Hemiphere. Then we will pass the University of Stellenbosch. This is one of the Best universities in the country, because its where our winemakers study to become a wine maker. Next you will enjoy your first winetasting at Delaire Graff. Known to be the Jewel of the Cape Winelands. Next you will enjoy your second wine tasting at Tokara. They grow their own olives, and they reckon that it goes good with wine. Here you can do olive and wine tasting. Then we will continue to the town of Franschoek meaning ' French Corner'. This is where the French used to settle in the 1800's when they fleed from prosecution because of their religion. Franschoek is also top for food in the country. This is where we will stop for lunch. Lastly you will do a wine tasting at Eikenhof. A Small winefarm inherited by the fourth generation. This is where you will have the privilege of meeting the farmer himself doing the tasting. On our way back to Cape Town, we will stop at the Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela spend his last two years in prison.

Spend a day cycling along the Cape's historic wine route. Enjoy the natural scenery as you sample local wines. You will begin cycling approximately 20 to 40 km from Franschhoek. The Groot Drakenstein Mountains will be your backdrop as you pass by beautiful wine estates. Cycling through the historical town of Franschoek to the Huguenot Monument, you might be tempted to pop into its many boutique shops and art galleries. At Paarl, the birthplace of the Afrikaans language, you will see Paarl Rock, one of the largest granite boulders in the world. In Stellenbosch you can visit the Stellenbosch Village Museum and wander down oak lined avenues, exploring Cape Dutch architecture. A picnic lunch will be provided at one of the region's award winning vineyards.

our tour guide will meet you at your accommodation in Cape Town 15mins before your tour (unless you’ve requested an alternative meeting time). You will first, make a quick stop in the heart of Cape Town city center to discover the colorful community known as Bo-kaap. You will then head to Signal Hill - The hill is 300m high and offers great views across the City Bowl and Table Bay and it’s a truly magnificent spot to sit peacefully and take it all in. Drive along the scenic coastal route with the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other, and explore the majesty of what the city has to offer. Drive through Seapoint, Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay, and Llandudno beaches along Chapman's Peak drive and enjoy a photo stop at Maiden's Cove (bathrooms available). In Houtbay you can enjoy an optional scenic 60-minute round-trip boat ride to Seal Island before we resume your tour via the world-famous Chapman's Peak Drive, a must-do for visitors to the area! Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. It was the brainchild of Sir Frederic de Waal, the first administrator of the Cape Province and first opened more than a century ago. After exploring the harbour in Hout Bay, your tour continues on to Noordhoek village for an optional stop to buy something light to eat or indulge in one of the best cups of coffee this side of town (cost not included). A highlight as we head to the southwesternmost point of the continent - the Cape of Good Hope. Carry on to Cape Point and walk for 20 minutes one way up to see the historic lighthouse and bask in the magnificence of your surroundings described by numerous visitors as a "very special moment". Should you choose, you could also take a funicular (if in operation) on your own account if you are not in the mood for walking. There is a lovely seafood restaurant with a sea view or grab a quick bite in the food shop next door. Your excitement as we embark on a journey to Simon's Town for a special date with the legendary & endangered African penguins at Boulders Beach. We will take a walk along the boardwalk to the official penguins colony location to see the penguins in their natural habitat. Boulder's penguins colony is home to approximately 3000 African Penguins who spend their days frolicking in the False Bay waters and parading on the granite Boulders - always up to mischief. From there you will pass through Simons Town, where you will have an opportunity to have lunch at one of the top restaurants in the area that serves up love food. You will also walk past the statue of a very special dog - Just Nuisance - the only dog in the world to have been an able seaman. Finally, discover Kalk Bay and Muizenberg Beach, the surfer's corner before returning.

(10min) Paarl The town of Paarl offers a great window into Afrikaner culture and tradition.The district is particularly well known for its Pearl Mountain or "Paarl Rock". This huge granite rock is formed by three rounded outcrops that make up Paarl Mountain and has been compared in majesty to Uluru (formerly known as Ayers Rock) in Australia.
