Full description
Your guide will take you beyond the beaten track and typical tourist routes to another cultural dimension, on this mystical and enchanting escape to some of the more unusual spots in the French capital. Tailor your itinerary to suit your group and spend more time at the locations that spark your interest. Originally a swamp, the land of the Marais was drained and it became habitable, soon enticing settlers. It developed into the center of the city’s Jewish community, remaining so to this day. Over the years it has gone through several transformations, changing from a chic residential area that was home to aristocrats and even a royal court, to a run-down neighborhood. Today, the Marais is reliving its finest days. With your guide, you’ll have the opportunity to see the best it has to offer. Experience the royal history of the Marais by exploring the pristine Place des Vosges, a public square with unparalleled beauty in Paris. During the tour, your guide will show you the many faces of this unique neighborhood, narrate some interesting stories, and inform you about important historical events.

      Knowledgeable and delightful!

Anja was the tour guide for the four of us and we found her to be personable and well-versed in the history, architecture and culture of The Marais. After walking the many streets of the area, we had a much better appreciation of this dynamic neighborhood. The cost was reasonable and we all truly enjoyed the experience.

We had chosen 3 day tours that we did with Ania. Ania is very conscientious and takes care of everyone. A visit full of anecdotes and details with a very friendly guide. A big thank you to her for her good humor and her smile despite the cold and the rain and in full demonstration of yellow vests!

The tour was excellent... Anya was very personable and an absolute fountain of information and history about the Marais... even though we have been coming to Paris and staying in the Marais for several years- we still learned new things and saw things we hadn’t been aware of... Anya was a perfect guide- able to answer all our questions... we felt the tour was $$ we’ll spent...
