Full description
On arrival, picture yourself in front of a former railway station, transformed into a museum and home to various treasures. But wait, you cannot simply pass through the doors of such an incredible place. First of all, you will have to brave the impressive creatures that stand guard over the entrance to the building, such as a rhinoceros, or an elephant measuring 3 metres in height. Your guide will recount the thousand and one lives that make up the legend of this iconic museum, known throughout the world for its rich collection of impressionist paintings, and shed light on the history of its leading works by equally exceptional artists. Find yourself caught in that magical place between dream and reality, totally immersed in one of the most marvellous pages of the City of Light's history. Tackling impressionism with a visit to the Musée d’Orsay is an incredibly enriching experience, from which everyone can draw enlightenment and reflection. The museum was born out of an association of a small number of artists in the second half of the 19th Century. Heavily criticised at first, it finally came to have a strong influence on the art of the period.

Very nice, interesting and individual guided tour by Myriam in the Musee d'Orsay. There was an overview of the large inventory of the museum and then she went into great detail about the works that were important and interesting for us. There was also a lot of information about the individual painters. Despite the large number of visitors (free entry on the 1st Sunday of the month), it was a nice experience. We got our entrance fee refunded from GetyourGuide, very professional handling!

Valerie was a first-rate guide for the Museum. She taught us so much regarding the context of the artists/painters. She gave us all a fine and eeeper understanding of what we werre looking at. We continue to talk about what tremendous luck we had finding your organization and having Valerie as our guide.

Lucineia was fabulous! So informative and made the museum very interesting for my 8 yr old daughter. In fact, Zoe said this was one of her favorite things she did in Paris!
