Full description

Start your 3-hour bike in front of the City Hall. On this small-group guided tour, enjoy a leisurely bike ride through Paris historical neighborhoods. Your local guide will show you nooks and crannies of the old Paris as well as explaining you the anecdotes behind the great history.

Starting on the city island, head toward St Louis Island, mostly unchanged since the 17th century. Crossing the Seine River, enter the medieval Marais, famous for its Jewish and gay neighborhoods. From middle-aged houses through trendy corners, reach the first-ever Kings Square and its magnificent buildings.

Continuing through the Bastille square, demystify its legendary prison and the famous Bastille Day. Escape from city traffic and stroll along the bike-friendly path that lines the Seine River and get ready for a nice drink stop along the water. Next, discover the left bank.

From the world's oldest company, which is 1154 years old, head towards the literary Saint Germain des Prés and meet Parisians’ preferred cafés and art galleries. See how the kings, queens, revolutionaries, and Napoléon mixed in a ballet that ended in blood in Odéon and Luxembourg.

After resting in the left bankers preferred garden, reach the Sorbonne University and the Latin Quarter with its antic roman empire ruins mixed with the most dangerous middle-aged back streets.

Joining this tour at the beginning of your vacation allows you to see a lot of the city and determine where you want to go back to.

The tour was really great. I deducted a star because I was expecting a little more adventure and we just saw the district that I had already visited several times. But Frederic explained "his" corners in Paris around the Hotel de Ville very well and gave nice background information. I can therefore recommend the tour with a clear conscience. It is also a nice experience to "experience" Paris in the truest sense of the word. (And cycling was more harmless than expected / feared) A few "typically German know-it-alls / senior teachers" on the tour, who constantly interrupted the nice Frederic in his explanations and, as expected, were too stingy for him in the end, clouded the experience a little give a well-deserved tip. Next time I'll book a tour in English. The group was much nicer ...

We cannot say enough good things about our tour with Fred. Even though it rained, we had the best time - the highlight of our weekend! This tour showed us parts of Paris we'd never seen before - some more off the beaten path than others - and Fred's recommendations for restaurants and sights were all excellent.

The guide was very nice, but the evening before I was asked whether the tour was also ok in English (since English-speaking tourists also wanted to take part in the tour). The tour itself was nice, bikes good, guide very friendly. On the tour you get a lot of historical information, so you should know beforehand. The route was very nice, we revisited a few corners after the tour because we liked it so much.
