My wife and I took a tour of the Chateau de Versailles and gardens with our guide Isabelle on 7 July. Our guide, Isabelle was outstanding. She made the tour fun and informational. Lots of knowledge delivered in a very easy to understand way. I highly recommend Isabelle as a guide for this tour.

The Get Your Guide Office where we checked in was in a very close location to the Château de Versailles and right across the street from the RER C. The employee who checked us in was very friendly and spoke English. My husband and I each received a complimentary tote bag, helpful Versailles maps, and an informational guide book. There is a nice coffee shop where you can enjoy un café and une pâtisserie right next door after checking in. Our tour guide Sophie met us in front of the office and walked us over to the palace. She was super nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. We really enjoyed doing the tour with her and the 7 other people in our group. There was no line when we got to the Palace guided tours entrance. Sophie gave us listening devices that hooked on our ear so that we could hear her talking throughout the palace and they worked perfectly. I highly recommend this guided tour company!

You can Skip-the-line, but you can’t skip the crowds

It was a very good tour. Our guide was knowledgeable. We were able to skip the long entrance line for the palace which was almost the best part. Though once inside, the palace is extremely crowded. There isn’t much space in each room to really get a good look at everything and you move through rather quickly. Something else to note - when booking it says that the tour is 2 hours long, but you should plan to be with tour guide for at least 3 hours. From meeting time until the end it was a little over 3 hours for us. This meant that we only had from 4:30-6:00pm to explore the gardens and other buildings on our own. That wasn’t even close to enough time for us and was somewhat disappointing.
