As of July 2021 there are 2 lines being operated, the (green) castle line, which takes you through the tight historic city center towards the castle of Sao Jorge in a smaller bus (around 40min to complete the round trip), and the open'top double decker (red) Belem line which takes you outward from Lisbon proper, to the municipality of Belem, showcasing the famous coastal defense tower and a momument to the age of discoveries (around and hour and 10 min to complete). In Belem, you can also visit St. Jeronimo's monastery, the tomb of Vasco da Gama and the Maritime Museum. The audio guide is very informative and easy to understand, with pleasant intermissions featuring the local Fado music. For an additional charge of 12 EUR per person we booked the boat tour between Lisbon center and Belem as well. When we took the tour, it was quite empty, sometimes we were the only people on the bus, no doubt because of the Covid measures in Portugal scaring off foreign tourists, which is a shame!

We thoroughly enjoyed the hop on hop off experience in Lisbon. We did this the day after a private small group tour in Lisbon, as the opportunity to go back and see things we enjoyed in greater detail. The buses were clean, all worked well and they were on time. We regularly use these buses in cities across the world. Happy to endorse our experience in Lisbon and recommend. We had perfect weather.

This was a great day to see all of the sites. Later we knew what to walk to. The Circle Marques de Pombal is a great point for pickup and drop-off.

Worth it. You will NOT MISS the tourist spots when using the sightseeing bus. Choose the best line when booking. Castle and Belèm line.

Friendly bus driver spoke good English. Clean bus with some covered and uncovered areas upstairs.
