Experience a spectacular sunrise on top of Mount Batur in a more comfortable way. By joining this tour, you will have more time to rest because you will stay overnight in Kintamani which is only 30 minutes away from the mountain. Instead of waking up at midnight, you will wake up at 3:30 AM. After the hike, you can come back to your accommodation to rest a little bit more with an exclusive guaranteed check out time at 2:00 PM. You will be picked up from your accommodation anywhere in Bali at your check out time. On the way to Kintamani, stop at Tukad Cepung waterfall and admire the sun rays shining straight through the top of the falls, creating natural beams across the canyon. Here, you have the chance to swim in the waterfall. Then, stop at Pengelipuran Village and meet the village locals and learn about their way of life. Then, check in to your accommodation in Kintamani and have a good rest before your hike starts the next day. Wake up at 3:30 AM, fuelled with breakfast and then head to Mount Batur. During the ascent, you’ll trek along a 3-kilometer long trail. The trail is of moderate difficulty and passes through lush tropical jungles. On reaching the top, enjoy breakfast cooked by steam from the volcano and sip hot tea or coffee at your leisure while watching the magical sunrise. After descending the mountain, you have a chance to dip in the relaxing natural hot springs and soothe your sore muscles. After the hot spring experience, you have time to rest a little bit more at the accommodation with a guaranteed late check out at 2:00 PM.

What people are saying about Penglipuran Village

This experience was absolutely outstanding, but not why you would think. Yes, the tour is pretty cool and the places you get to see are stunning, but what made this tour special was my AMAZING tour guide Sarbuja. For some reason, no one else booked this tour, so I got a private tour with Sarbuja and let me tell you, he went above and beyond to make it special. He accommodated every single request I did, including stops for coffee and bathroom (he even showed me his favorite coffee shop in the village) and an absolutely amazing lunch in a really local restaurant with no tourists but me. He also bought me the best corn on the cob of my life (and I'm Mexican) and showed me his family's temple, which was an extremely nice touch. We ended by stopping by in a rice terrace, with some amazing views and did a small walk. I enjoyed every single conversation I had with him, and he taught me a lot about Balines culture and religion. If you're planning on taking this tour, request Sarbuja!! 10/10

This was an incredible experience! My guide, Komang, was great company on the drive to and from Kintamani. The hike itself was amazing! Heavy cloud cover meant I didn’t actually see the sunrise and it wasn’t as described, no brekkie before the hike and no jackets or poles provided either. That said, I went prepared as I don’t like using other peoples things. I’d highly recommend this experience!

We had a great adventure with a perfect guide. Lanang took us on the trip and travelled with us on this experience. Cooked some great eggs and showed us very nice places! Also very nice to talk with all the local guys walking down the volcano!

Incredible experience! From pick up to drop off, the tour was amazing and our tour guide was so informative and friendly (and super patient!) Highly recommended!

Ayung was a great guide. He showed me everything plus more. The lunch was in a gorgeous setting with very nice food. Thank you, Christina
