Kuala Lumpur: Private Half–Day City Tour

3. Kuala Lumpur: Private Half–Day City Tour

Kuala Lumpur is a busy city with ordered skyscrapers, six-lane highways, colonial architecture, and lots of greenery. Home to the Petronas Twin Towers, it is a shopping paradise with some of Southeast Asia's largest shopping malls, housing the world's top brands, and street markets selling one-of-a-kind items. Head to the world-famous Petronas Towers, for a glimpse at the structures, once claimed as the world's tallest buildings, and stop to take a photo in front of the towers. Continue on to the King's Palace, also known as the Istana Negara, and take pictures of the Malaysian monarch's intricate royal residence. Contrast your visit to the glass and steel architectural marvels by exploring the manicured grounds of Malaysia's National Mosque. Its spectacular main dome is covered in brilliant blue and green tile work. Cap off your trip by paying your respects to those who lost their lives in the Malaysian struggle for independence at the Tugu Negara, designed by American architect Felix de Weldon. Visit the Sultan the Abdul Samad Building and Cocoa Boutique, where you can purchase exquisite chocolates or other Malaysian specialties.

The private tour brought us even closer to Kuala Lumpur!

With Stefan we had an insider on hand with valuable information from everyday life in Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings, because he lives in the vicinity. We were able to get to know the Batu Caves cave with its Hindu temples with Stefan and were then relatively stress-free in many interesting parts of the city in Kuala Lumpur, the size of which we experienced here personally, which was not so apparent during the travel preparations at home. Stefan also brought us closer to the life of the locals here and there. Unfortunately, we didn't see the old colonial quarter in the city with him, which would have been a witness. Stefan then helped us to find an optimal time booking for a visit to the Petronas Towers the next day. We can only recommend Stefan for the private tour in Kuala Lumpur.

Whilst I thought I'd asked for a visit to the telecom tower & meeting locals, I had a guide (originally from Germany) who arrived in her car & took me immediately to Batu Caves &, afterwards, a really good meal in China town. Not what I'd expected but have understood that my choice wasn't brilliant & I got to see a place which I thought I wouldn't. She was informative & friendly & I really enjoyed my trip.

Great was to learn the basics

Great tour. Best way to get your bearings and see the cities main sights. Recommended to all new visitors to get the most out of he city sights in a short time. Worked well for us they are short stops - enough for a wander and a few photos then on to the next. Useful to get information on what to do, where to go, and how to get there for the rest of the trip

Guide was also the driver, the tour by car was great due to the distances and the heat in the afternoon, shopping tour at various shops for tourists could have been saved, Guide spoke good English

Good knowledgeable guide got to know the downtown area of Kuala Lumpur quickly and well
