Top 10 highlights of Philadelphia
The fifth-biggest city in the United States by population, Philadelphia is more than just a cream cheese! It's where much of the foundation of the U.S. took place. Here are some great starting points for you to discover "Philly"...
1. Philadelphia Museum of Art
With over 227,000 individual objects in its various collections, you'd better dedicate an entire day to one of the country's premier art museums - there's not just American but international art to be seen!
2. Liberty Bell
This symbolic bell was rung as the Declaration of Independence was read out in 1776. Go and see it on the intersection of 6th Street and Market Street!
3. Independence National Historic Park
Follow the footsteps of Benjamin Franklin in the path to American independence.
4. Amish Country
Lancaster is the largest city in Pennsylvania Dutch country, where the Amish community has traditionally lived.
5. Rocky Location Tour
Visit the filming locations for the Rocky movies, from North to South Philadelphia. The best thing about this tour is not only that you'll see places in Philly you might not have thought of visiting before, but you'll also be able to meet and nerd out with other Rocky fans!
6. Magic Gardens
A homage to the art of mosaicing by Isaiah Zagar! You can learn about the mosaic garden's background from a tour guide, or simply wander through the shimmery labyrinth yourself.
7. Edgar Allen Poe National Historic Site
Poe, one of the most spine-chilling writers of all time, spent six years living in Philadelphia. Here, you can visit his home and listen to his stories as you walk thru to get a real sense of eerie context!
8. LOVE Park
Officially called JFK Plaza, Robert Indiana's famous LOVE sculpture lends the park its nickname. It's also home to a large and vibrant skateboarding community. If you're in Philadelphia at Christmas, don't miss the annual market held here!
9. Brandywine Valley
A tour to Brandywine Valley will allow you to visit grand country estates just outside the city, such as the Nemours Mansion, to enrich your understanding of the local area. Oh, and the chance to sample regional wines.
10. Pocono Mountains
There are so many things to see and do at this resort a couple of hours outside Philadelphia - including a water park and opportunities for skiing in the winter.

What people are saying about Philadelphia
Great tour for those who are interested in the history of the city. Our tour guide Josh was very knowledgeable and we were able to learn about important dates in history as well as stand close to where they took place. Definitely recommend.
Segway tour was great. 2 hour tour was the way to go. D was our guide and he was extremely knowledgeable about the area and showed us some amazing stuff. I would recommend him and another Segway tour for the future.
Fantastic walking tour with guide Rick Heimann. He knew his history, he’s a great story teller and I learned more about our nations founders in 2.5 hours than I did in history class!!
Tour guide Barry was knowledgeable, fun and patient. We had our teenage niece and nephew with us. He taught them how to drive lickety split. Lots of fun!
Bill was a great guide. Full of interesting tidbits about Philadelphia's history that we never would've read about in the history books.
