Full description
Take a Segway tour of Philadelphia to see the main city sights and get an informative commentary on the history of the city at the forefront of the American Revolution and Declaration of Independence. Your guide will give you a 30-minute training session before you set off on the self-balancing vehicles. Then, traveling in groups of up to 6 people, head down to Penn's Landing for views across to New Jersey and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Glide through the Historic District, passing Elfreth's Alley and the Betsy Ross House. Admire Independence Hall en route to Society Hill, where you can marvel at the stately homes while catching the aroma of fresh coffee at quaint cafés. Pass over Avenue of the Arts to Rittenhouse Square, before winding through the Fitler Square neighborhood to Schuylkill River. The scenery changes here, as you work your way along the paths of the Schuylkill Banks, joined by runners and bikers en route to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Admire the statue of Rocky Balboa at the bottom of the famous steps he ran up in the 1976 blockbuster movie, before moving on to Benjamin Franklin Parkway to see Rodin’s “Thinker” statue in the outdoor sculpture garden. A cruise of some of the back streets will lead you to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, from where you can loop through Chinatown and the end of your tour.

See (a couple of) the sights in an original way

It was our first "Segway-experience" and WE LOVED IT! Our guide Barry was very kind and patient while he explained everything; he made us feel as comfortable as possible before taking us out on the streets. He looked after our safety throughout the visit (we had booked the 1 hour tour), and took some photos along the way, so we could fully concentrate on driving the Segway. I have to admit that my knees were a bit sore afterwards, but that probably has something to do with my age (47 years). I really recommend this agency: professional, friendly guides, visit was worth the money!

    Lovely and interesting

We took the one hour tour, which is quite enough. The guide name was Barry. He presented the sites through a Wilkie talkie while driving the Segway in an interesting way. Barry took our photos during the ride, and sent it later through an email. The group size was 6 people - just the right size... All in all we enjoyed it very much.

A little bit too fast and "commercial"

We went through interesting places and our guide was interesting but he didn't seem always interested... To use segway in a city is sometime boaring because of a lot of rules du to traffic. That's a general remark about segway in the States. We had the same experience in San Francisco, Mineaplois and other US cities that we had not in Europe.
