Full description
Explore the natural marvels of northern Arizona when you visit Antelope Canyon! Learn about Navajo culture from a local Native American guide and check out the quaint desert cities of Flagstaff and Page. Your tour begins with a convenient pickup at your Phoenix-area hotel and then heads through the Sonoran Desert toward the mountain city of Flagstaff. On your journey, you have a chance to stop at a Navajo trading post to learn about Navajo culture and see how their intricate crafts are made. Your next stop is the spectacular Antelope Canyon where you will join a Navajo guide as you are taken into the deep red-rock chasms that echo with ancient history. Bask in the sunlight that filters down through the narrow cracks above. Once you reemerge from Antelope Canyon, head to the shores of Lake Powell, a massive reservoir on the Colorado River that attracts over 2 million local visitors a year. Then we will head over to Page, NV where you'll enjoy a satisfying lunch at one of the local eateries. After lunch, embark on a scenic 1-mile hike to the Horseshoe Bend Overlook, which offers awe-inspiring views into a deeply carved channel where the Colorado River winds far below. Head back South and return you to your Phoenix-area hotel.
