Superb lake. Very interesting trek with crossing of a cave: we walk in the jungle, we cross rivers, in the cave we see salactites and salagmites sometimes with water up to the shoulders. PROBLEM: there is no indication on this in the description of the trek, so participants do not plan the right equipment ... and then it can become a hassle! You need shoes to walk in the water, a swimsuit and a waterproof bag to put your things. And it's a pretty sporty course.

The description mentions you will go in a cave but doesn’t mention you will be wading in water potentially up to neck height. The trek through the cave it almost 1km also. It was great fun! But something to consider. Where footwear you don’t mind getting wet and don’t take a big bag as the tour guide only has a small wet bag for everyone’s phones etc. Water is provided. The whole thing was just under 6miles (bike plus cave). Both your guides where fab and day was very well organised. Beware of lunch as some options are very spicey! Our tour guide Nim was so good so even took photos for you throughout the day and sent them by WhatsApp later!

The trip to the Khao Sok National Park with 500 Rai is basically very well organized. The pick up in the hotel was perfect and on time. You get a nice breakfast just before the National Park and then start to the dam. Then it goes with the longtail boat over the lake. The landscape is really breathtaking and even cloudy an absolute highlight. Unfortunately, then came with the "walk to the waterfall" a disappointment for us. The walk is more of a challenging climbing action which definitely needs sturdy shoes, sure-footedness and mosquito repellent. My partner and I are in our mid 20s and athletic, but then stopped it at 3/4 of the climb because it was simply too dangerous. Unfortunately, it is not mentioned in the description. Here, something MUST be specified. The subsequent stay at the 500 Rai Resort was again very relaxing and nice. The food was good and the service very nice.
