2. Phuket Old Town 15-Taster Food Tour

Are you ready to explore why Phuket is often considered one of Thailand's top foodie hotspots? Greet your guide in the cool of the morning at 10:00am outside the city's famous central market and begin your walking tour weaving your way through the streets passing a glorious Chinese temple en route to try a Phuketian classic snack of spiced rice cooked in banana leaves. Back down at the market, your guide will take you to a hidden little teashop which serves the local Burmese working community. Here, you'll try Burmese curries, crispy samosas and other delights accompanied by naans freshly cooked in their wood-fired oven and washed down with sweet tea. Just down the road is a fine outdoor fresh fruit and vegetable market where your guide will explain the ingredients that go into Thai cuisine and sample exotic fruits, juices, and other tasty morsels like deep-fried coconut balls and prawns cooked in banana leaves. Continue on your culinary adventure by working your way over a bowl of rich Hokkien noodles with a pair of chopsticks (don't worry, cutlery's available too) from a little restaurant that's been serving up the good stuff for decades. Don't worry, it's not over yet. Your guide will take you to a local indoor market famed for its fresh spring rolls filled with cured pork and topped with sweet sauce and pickles and coconut pork skewers served with rich peanut satay and zingy ajat cucumber relish. It's unthinkable not to visit Phuket Old Town without delving into the sweets. Your guide will take you for a particularly special Phuket-style crepe cooked over fiery coals, a refreshing and vivid iced dessert and finishing on sweet milky tea and flaky rotis at a joint that's been knocking them out for years. Return back to the central market where the tour ends. You'll return back to your hotel with a deeper understanding of Phuketian cuisine. Be warned, the food on the rest of your vacation will now solely disappoint.

Phuket Luxury Tour: Phang Nga and Beyond

5. Phuket Luxury Tour: Phang Nga and Beyond

Koh Phanak is often the first stop for intriguing cave exploration due to its hidden caves and lagoons. Fire up your torches and step into a prehistoric world. Koh Hong is a stunning location for a scenic canoe trip, the best way to see these geological wonders up close and personal.  The next scenic stop is James Bond Island, arguably the most famous spot in the bay and a Mecca for Thai and Western tourists for over four decades. Just a few minutes from James Bond island lays a fantastic hidden cave, only accessible by swimming through a narrow passage. Jump off the front of the boat and swim to the beach.  Koh Yao Noi is a truly unique location, still holding fast to a traditional existence in the face of its bustling brother, Phuket. The tour takes a decidedly terra firma turn with a short trip across the south of the island to a local Thai restaurant for a delicious Thai lunch.

It was absolutely amazing! I am even gluten free (intolerant not celiac) and they were able to tell me the few things I couldn’t eat and make a few things with different noodles for me. The guide was so funny and welcoming. I learned so much about all The different types of Thai food, got to taste them and learned about the culture. Definitely would do it again

A must book for foodie travelers! If you think you could have the best eats around Phuket on your own, you can't. Trust the locals, walk around the local market, and listen to their stories why these homely places are the true food gems of Phuket.

Excellent tour and tastings of a wide range of foods. Our guide, Pema was so knowledgeable and generous and was the ideal host. Pema was also very capable at catering for allergies which was very much appreciated

Amazing, worth every penny. Nam took us to places we would have never seen. She answered every question. We we're a bit cautious of the price before booking but honestly, it was so worth it.

Highly recommended tour - not the usual experience. One more based on local culture, farming and of course an added adventure well worth trying out! Best tour by far :)
