Venice: Murano and Burano Half-Day Lagoon Trip

1. Venice: Murano and Burano Half-Day Lagoon Trip

Depart from the railway station on Piazzale Roma and journey to Murano, famous for its glass-blowing industry. Dating back to the Middle Ages, the still-thriving tradition has been passed down over generations and each glass blower has developed their own personal style. Watch a glass-blowing demonstration and learn to recognize the difference between the various artisans and brands during your stay on the island. Then, continue to the island of Burano, known for its crochet work and brightly colored houses. Get picture-perfect views of the landmarks of Burano, such as the leaning bell tower and the main square of Piazza Baldassarre Galuppi, named after a major 18th-century Venetian composer. Look in some of the lace shops during your visit to the island. Then, conclude your travels on Piazza San Marco and see sights such as the Doge's Palace and Campanile as you stroll around the famous colonnades.

Very good experience! It is something that you should definitely do when you go to Venice. Our guide Camila was excellent, she asked everyone what language they spoke and that is why she gave each of the explanations in 4 languages (Spanish, English, French and Italian). He gave detailed and interesting explanations, he was quite kind to each one of us. We left the train station (right in front of KFC) however the boat went to St. Mark's Square, we changed boats to a bigger one and more people got on, I think that wastes a bit of tour time For example, in Murano I feel that we were very little, the explanation of the glass takes approximately 20 minutes and then you go to the store, with both things we spent almost all the time on the island so we did not see anything else. In Burano if we could visit more.

From the moment we met our guide by the boat dock, we were throughly impressed - all the boat crew and workers were helpful friendly and professional Very impressed with the fact that she asked what languages everyone spoke and used that information to make sure she translated the entire tour for everyone Murano Island glass blowing tour was very interesting and Borano Island lace making was just as interesting Highly recommend touring these islands - but do it with this company and guide (wish I got her name! - she even said good bye in all our native languages for us) It’s the little things like a great guide and crew that distinguish one company from all the others - thank you for making our trip to Venice so incredible

Excellent opportunity to get to know Murano and Burano. The time in each city was more than adequate, the guide is very friendly and I want to congratulate you for speaking 4 languages very well (she also spoke to us in Portuguese)!! The visit to the glass shop was also very worthwhile! Thank you so much for a beautiful morning.

Great tour of the lagoon and the new islands. Tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Good value for money

Fue una experiencia extraordinaria! Murano y Burano bellísimos.
