1. From Istria: Venice Day Trip with High Speed Catamaran

Get a taste of Venice in a hassle-free manner on this full-day tour. Marvel at the city's museums, churches, and palaces, take a gondola ride in the canals, or sit back and soak up the city in a cafe, bar, or restaurant.  Start your day with check-in at the port of departure. Choose from either Porec, Rovinj, Pula, and Umag in Croatia, or Piran in Slovenia. Once you finish the check-in and passport control, begin your Venice experience. On the vessel, choose any seat you like and relax in comfort. While crossing the Adriatic Sea, receive an interesting explanation of Venice, its history, all the dos and don'ts in the city, what to expect, and any optional extras you can opt to take once there with your guides. Upon arrival in Venice at San Basilio, make your way through passport control. Then, walk to the center with your guides, or embark on an optional guided transfer to St. Mark's Square. Hear special stories of the city while avoiding the hot summer sun. Gather at Saint Marcus Square for your free guided tour of the square to help you appreciate Venice even more. After this, enjoy ample free time to explore the city, shop for souvenirs, take a walk in one of the many alleys, or sip a Bellini in one of the beautiful piazzas (squares). Alternatively, visit one of the many museums, churches or palazzos; your Venice experience is for you to create. Choose to join an optional gondola ride or have your guides organize a lunch for you to make your experience even more hassle-free. Later, head back to the port. Walk with the guides or take an optional water taxi ride through the Grand Canal and see the Rialto Bridge and all the palazzos en route. Embark upon your return journey aboard the catamaran, and sit back, relax, and reflect upon a wonderful day in Venice.

What people are saying about Piran

We really enjoyed the day trip from Pula to Venice. The trip by catamaran from Pula to Venice took 3.5 hours and the same time back. We left at 7:30 am and didn't get back until 9:30 pm. Only the passport control in Venice on arrival and departure was tedious. On the catamaran you could also buy drinks and snacks. It was really a bit chilly on the catamaran (I wore a vest) but I didn't find it too bad. On the trip to Venice there was about 30 minutes of interesting information about Venice. We also booked the water bus ride on the catamaran (while the guides also talked about Venice), gondola ride and water taxi ride. That cost €77 per person (you could also book lunch, but we didn't have it). At St. Mark's Square, the guide also gave us a tour of about 30 minutes. The time in Venice (St. Mark's Square) was sufficient for us. We would recommend this day trip to everyone!

Everything worked out great, 2x punctual departure and punctual arrival at 8:00 p.m. in Porec. Unfortunately, the air conditioning made it very cold on the way there. Eating and drinking was relatively expensive on board. There was enough time in Venice, the guides were very nice and spoke English and German very well. But of course they also wanted to sell their excursion package. We recommend taking the water taxi back to the ship, which, however, also cost €30 per adult. If you don't value a 3-course menu, you can eat delicious pizza relatively cheaply on the go. Drinks can also be bought on every corner.

The English-speaking guide was especially nice. He spoke very interestingly and did not tire us too much with the facts. We took the full package and were very satisfied, because we got to see and experience a lot in a limited time.

I expected more from the food but the experience was great, the guides were very friendly and very nice and for the short time we were in Venice I learned and saw a lot.

Venice is beautiful, only not enough time for sightseeing :(
