1. From Istria: Venice Day Trip with High Speed Catamaran

Get a taste of Venice in a hassle-free manner on this full-day tour. Marvel at the city's museums, churches, and palaces, take a gondola ride in the canals, or sit back and soak up the city in a cafe', bar, or restaurant.  Start your day with check-in at the port of departure. Choose from either Porec, Rovinj and Pula in Croatia, or Piran in Slovenia. Once you finish the check-in, begin your Venice experience. On the vessel, choose any seat you like and relax in comfort. While crossing the Adriatic Sea, receive an interesting explanation of Venice, its history, all the dos and don'ts in the city, what to expect, and any optional extras you can opt to take once there with your guides. Upon arrival in Venice at San Basilio, walk to the center with your guides, or embark on an optional guided transfer to St. Mark's Square. Hear special stories of the city while avoiding the hot summer sun. Gather at St. Mark's Square for your free guided tour of the square to help you appreciate Venice even more. After this, enjoy ample free time to explore the city, shop for souvenirs, take a walk in one of the many alleys, or sip a Bellini in one of the beautiful piazzas (squares). Alternatively, visit one of the many museums, churches or palazzos; your Venice experience is for you to create. Choose to join an optional gondola ride or have your guides organize a lunch for you to make your experience even more hassle-free. Later, head back to the port. Walk with the guides or take an optional water taxi ride through the Grand Canal and see the Rialto Bridge and all the palazzos en route. Embark upon your return journey aboard the catamaran, and sit back, relax, and reflect upon a wonderful day in Venice.

Škocjan UNESCO Caves and Piran

2. Škocjan UNESCO Caves and Piran

Start your small-group tour with a pickup from your central Ljubljana hotel, and depart to explore the Škocjan UNESCO caves and the charming coastal town of Piran, in an air-conditioned minivan. During your roughly 1-hour journey, admire rural Slovenia and enjoy interesting stories about Škocjan UNESCO caves that your guide describes. Take a 2-hour guided tour of the caves and explore multi-colored stalactites and stalagmites. The exceptional volume of the underground canyon is what distinguishes the Škocjan Caves from other caves and places and is easily placed among the most famous underground features in the world. The visit continues to Socerb Castle that offers breathtaking views of the Slovenian coast and Gulf of Trieste. The castle ruin is placed high up above the coastline at the very edge of the Karst Plateau and has been dominating that cliff since the Illyrian times. Continue to explore the coast of Slovenia and the most charming coastal town of Piran. You will soon realize that Piran is a town that is almost impossible not to fall in love with on your first visit. Walk through its narrow medieval streets wedged between beautiful houses, churches and squares, and enjoy the breeze that blows from the sea. Your guide will tell you about the historical part of the town and show you the marvelous Venetian architecture. Take your time to enjoy a cup of coffee, gelato, or some good fresh food. After a well spent day, you will end the tour in Ljubljana, with a drop-off at your hotel.

We started the journey from Pula. The ride was very pleasant, as mentioned in the previous reviews, everything is announced in three languages. We were not very well prepared and booked transport on the ship to the market square (€17), a gondola ride (€30) and a water taxi back to the departure port (€30). In addition, lunch can be booked for €23. Everything together would have cost only 90€ with a discount. Everything must be paid in cash. Tours can be paid later. Coffee (3€), snacks, etc. can be bought on the boat. We were glad to have booked the trips because Venice is very winding and it was more convenient for us. With more preparation you could have organized everything on your own. Venice is very beautiful and the hours you have between the transports are unfortunately not enough to see everything in Venice, but the most important thing is doable in this time! I would do the trip again!

The trip was super organized, where you were free to choose different options on the catamaran in terms of gondola, lunch, water taxi, etc ... We did everything that ultimately cost us 90 euros per person. Not expensive when you consider what the prices are when you purchase the services in Venice itself. The trip itself went smoothly and there were nice employees on board. The guides enthusiastically told something about the history of Venice. Also in Venice itself, their guidance and telling was a pleasure to experience. The tour, gondola ride and lunch went one after the other, so there was still time from 2.30 pm to 4.10 pm to stroll around the narrow streets, past the nice restaurants, cafes and shops. The gondola ride was very nice, the lunch delicious (incl. wine, soft drinks or water) and the water taxi pleasant to get back to the harbor. All in all, a must for a day in Venice!

Venice is definitely worth a trip, but one day is not enough. We had the complete program for €90 per person, which means that you are bound to fixed processes. That can sometimes be a bit exhausting, but you also get a few things worth knowing explained. If you don't want to walk everything, plan a gondola ride and want to take a water taxi on the Canale Grande, you'll certainly get away cheaply here. Only criticism was the included food. Just underground, every German company canteen can do that better. Kudos to all three tour guides, very friendly and open interaction in several languages, we particularly liked Sandra's commitment.

During the outward journey explanation about the history of Venice. Good tips were also given. Also options to sail transfers or gondola or restaurant early "dinner" or taxi boat through this organization with an extra discount. Seen and experienced a lot in a short time.

We had a wonderful time :) Thanks to the German-speaking guide, we learned a lot about Venice. I can definitely recommend this trip.
