Valencia: 3-Hour Grand Bike Tour & City of Arts and Sciences

10. Valencia: 3-Hour Grand Bike Tour & City of Arts and Sciences

The first place we will visit is where it all began, in the old town of Valencia. A unique place in Valencia where you can cycle through the narrow, winding streets of the city centre and soak up the history that sets this place apart. The important contribution of the Romans and Arabs have added their culture to this vibrant city and Pelican Bike will be happy to show you some of its gems. Whether it is the Cathedral of Valencia, the Plaza de la Virgen, the Plaza de la Reina, the Town Hall of Valencia, the Palace of Marqués de Dos Aguas, the central market, the famous Lonja de Valencia, the Torres de Quart or the Puerta de los Serranos. This tour gives you the opportunity to see everything and to learn about these interesting historical sites. After enjoying the busy concrete jungle, we will take our bikes and head to the City of Arts and Sciences. We will cycle along the unique river Turia, but how can you cycle along a river? That's a good question, but the river Turia is actually the perfect place for cycling. There used to be water here, but as this river flooded the city many times, the government decided to divert it and make a park along the course of the old river. So this garden is the perfect place to discover Valencia by bike. Many exotic plants and trees grow in this 9 kilometres long park and it is the perfect place to enjoy a healthy exercise in the open air. So, in addition to Pelican Bike's bike tours, you'll see football pitches, jogging tracks and a variety of sports machines. But this park is not only used for sport, it is also a place for recreation and people like to gather here and enjoy a fun picnic in the sun.

The experience was amazing and Emma was well versed and personable. Since getyourguide is forcing me to write 1000 characters for this review, I will simply say we had a very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very good time

Awesome but stood 2 hours in a queue

We loved the Palace of Versailles, it is definitely a must see! However I didn't enjoy the 2 hour wait in a queue to get in. I was so tired by the time we got in. It was very confusing & a shock when we realised how long the queue was. Not very well organised from that perspective... Clearer signage and taped lines maybe?

We had Dani as a tour guide and host for the night. He was absolutely amazing - very knowledgeable, funny, personable, and helped the group get talking! The whole set up of the night was very well thought through (though we also have a vendetta against the small tables in lieu of one big table).

Dani is a very nice and knowledgeable guy who is open minded and very curious to his guests and history. Very nice tour, good length and great wine tasting combined with lovely food.

Paul was a great guide. Very personable and shared so much information. We enjoyed our 3 hours with him showing us beautiful old town Valencia.
