Start your 2-hour adventure with an adrenaline beach launch into the sea on a 400 horsepower speedboat. The purpose-built cat style boat has been designed to conquer the ocean without compromising on safety or comfort. Knowledgeable guides and skippers will treat you to close encounters with some of the whales that visit the shores during the months of June to November. You could be graced with sightings of the Southern Right Whale in the Bay or Humpback Whales travelling along the coastline. You may experience the joy of seeing them breach or even view a mother and calf as they enjoy the safety the bay offers. Take a closer look at a vast seal colony and the many pelagic and coastal birds. Other possible sightings include sharks, big fish, penguins, and octopus in their natural habitat.

Arrive at the Safari Center at the Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve and embark on a magical 2-hour safari game drive through the reserve. Travel with a knowledgeable game ranger who will enthrall you with interesting facts about the wildlife and reserve. During the safari, try to spot 4 of Africa's 'Big 5', and other wildlife including elephants, buffalo, rhinos and leopards, different species of antelopes, birds, and more. At the end of the tour, return to the Safari Center where your tour will end.

Go swimming with seals in Plettenberg Bay, a fun and playful experience for all involved. Meet at the local office to take care of the paperwork and pick up all your equipment. Your group will depart by boat from Central Beach aboard the Robberg Express for an exciting beach launch. Head towards Robberg Nature Reserve and Marine Protected Area, home to approximately 8000 Cape fur seals.   Accompanied by a qualified divemaster, hop into the water and enjoy 30 minutes of amazing animal interaction among bundles of playful, inquisitive fur seals. Have the ultimate wild animal encounter in their natural environment and without altering their natural behaviours.

Check in at the base camp to pick up your wetsuits, harnesses, life jackets and helmets. Once the group is ready, leave base camp for a short drive to the start of your canyon adventure. First, start your ropes course with a gentle 25-meter abseil into the canyon. Then, kick off with your first jump into the river followed by a short swim. Next, if you choose, try your hand at some cliff jumping. For this part of the activity, the highest jump is around of about 7 meters, and lowest 1 meter above the water level, so there are many options if your nerves are getting the better of you. Continue swimming and hiking down the river to The Rush, a waterfall abseil, and seasonally a controlled zip-line over the waterfall. Carry on swimming and hiking down the river until your next adventure, a 55-meter zip-line over a waterfall and into the river below. On completion of the trip, you will be collected from the pick-up point and transported back to the base camp for a nice hot shower, and to collect your pictures of the canyon trip.

Head out to Robberg Marine Protected Area to view a colony of 6,000 Cape fur seals. Meet at the office on Hopwood street to fill out the necessary paperwork before making your way to the boat. Board the Robberg Express at Central Beach and head out through the surf to the seal colony. On the way, take in beautiful views of the coast’s sandy beaches and rocky platforms.   Experienced guides on board will be able to answer all your questions and take great pictures of your experience. Observe these wild animals lazing in the sun, swimming, and playing with each other — they may even come up to the boat to say hello.

There are three sanctuaries to choose from, each home to vast array of wild animals there to captivate you. Monkeyland = Approaching Monkeyland the world's first free-roaming, multi-species Primate Sanctuary, you are filled with excitement as you hear the various primates chattering away. Monkeyland is a forever home to ex-captive primates. The aim of the sanctuary is to afford these wonderfully intelligent creatures a healthier, more natural life and aims to raise public awareness about primates. Over 550 apes, monkeys and lemurs live at Monkeyland where you will tour with one of the most experienced primate guides in South Africa. During the one hour guided tour the guides will point out the array of primates living out their natural lives in the 12-ha indigenous forest and regal you with stories about them as well as some fun facts. Birds of Eden = The spectacular and awe-inspiring Birds of Eden is the largest free-flight aviary in the world. The sanctuary encompasses 2.3ha of partly forested land, covered by a 3.2ha mesh and with a 1.2km walkway. Visitors are welcome to explore at their own pace. The sanctuary is home to 220 different species & subspecies of birds totaling over 3500 birds. From the indigenous and beautiful Knysna lourie with its awkward call for such a gracious bird, the other lourie (Turaco) species, parrots, parakeets, waterfowl, flamingos, starlings, robins and graceful cranes. The sanctuary includes a deep gorge with a waterfall and the aviary is approximately 50m high, covering all the treetops and allowing ample flying space for its winged inhabitants. Being a sanctuary where many previously pet caged birds have now been given the opportunity to spread their wings, this is their first chance to make adequate use of their wings and to experience natural avian behavior. This is certainly one of the places you must visit when in the Garden Route! You can spend an entire day at any of the sanctuaries. Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary = Admire magnificent and majestic big cats of the world – Lions, Tigers, Leopards and Jaguars. The animals - at their forever home – Jukani, have been rescued or re homed from facilities that could no longer care for them. At Jukani they can now explore their large natural habitat, designed, and built around each individual animal’s needs. They are free of exploitation and the stress caused by human interaction. They can be appreciated and photographed in all their magnificence. On your 90-minute walking safari with one of our entertaining and knowledgeable guides you will also find Raccoons, a Honey badger, Caracal, some Zebra and Springbok and ferocious predators such as the Spotted Hyena. The lightning fast Cheetah and agile tree climbing Pumas are a delight to see. You will find hope in #TrueSanctuaries and be made aware of the plight of these animals – realizing that through lifestyle changes and choices you can contribute to a chance at a better future for them.

After a thorough briefing on kayaking techniques and safety, paddle from Central Beach and back. The direction will be dependant on winds, swells and paddling abilities. The knowledgeable guide will explain the wonders of the ocean, as you take in the views of the Tsitsikamma mountains and the Robberg Nature Reserve. Enjoy sightings of Cape fur seals, bottlenose and humpback dolphins, whales (July – October), cormorants, and other sea birds and marine mammals. Whatever time of the year, this is an experience not to be missed by beginners and experienced kayakers alike.

Join a guided 1-hour tour to get up close to the indigenous wild cats of South Africa, including servals, caracals, cheetahs, lions and leopards. Catch a glimpse of other animals such as meerkats, marabou storks, and many more. Enjoy this unique opportunity to see incredible wildlife, as you learn about conservation efforts in the region from your informative guide.  Follow your guide through the various habitats of the different cats as you listen to interesting facts about each species. Ocean adventures understand that community development and upliftment is a very important aspect of implementing our ideas. That being, realistic and holistic Marine and marine Mammal Conservation. Therefore, we chose to work together with the most disadvantaged sector of our community through the formation of the Qolweni Community Development trust. The funds raised through township tours and a percentage of Ocean Blue Adventures turnover get utilized to pay annual school fees for disadvantaged children of the Qolweni community. You would be able to experience their developing crèche to allow the local children the education opportunities they deserve and single mother the freedom to seek employment. Get back to nature on a 5-day tour of the beautiful Garden Route and look for wildlife in nature reserves including Tsitsikamma National Park and Addo Elephant Park. Day 1: (D) Depart Cape Town and head towards Oudtshoorn in the semi-desert of Little Karoo with a stop at Ronnie’s sex shop for a refreshing drink! Explore the magnificent Cango Caves and visit an ostrich farm, where you can try to ride one! Spend the night in Oudtshoorn and enjoy a delicious ostrich braai dinner. Day 2: (D) Cross the mountain range to reach the coast and famous Garden Route. Get panoramic views from the Map of Africa lookout before visiting the charming town of Knysna. Continue through Plettenberg Bay to spend the night at Storms River village. Day 3: (B, D) Get back to nature in Tsitsikamma National Park. Walk the coastal route to the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth. Continue to Addo Elephant National Park to spot huge elephant herds, antelope species and more. Alternatively, go straight to the surfing capital of South Africa at Jeffrey’s Bay, where you will spend the night. Day 4: (B, D) Head back towards the Garden Route to brave the world's highest bungee at Bloukrans. Enjoy a night in luxury accommodation at the Garden Route Game Lodge (guesthouse option). Go for a late afternoon safari drive to look for rhinos, lions, buffalo, cheetahs, and antelopes. Day 5: (B) Take an early morning safari drive to look for animals when they are most active. Depart for Hermanus, where Southern Right whales have returned after almost 50 years of being near extinct. Arrive in Cape Town in the late afternoon via the stunning False Bay coastline.
