Plovdiv is worth a visit. City with a very well maintained and beautiful old part. Wonderful homes. The Asen fortress is quite curious and is set in a beautiful mountain landscape. Bachkovo Monastery, despite not being the most beautiful in Bulgaria, is definitely worth a visit.

Great day out, Plovdiv is lovely and our guide Plamin was great, very helpful
