What people are saying about Pompei

I had an excellent tour with Paola, in the small group tour. We had about 12 people in our group, and she was able to show us a bunch of the highlights, and since Pompeii is far larger than a couple hours on a tour could show, she also did a great job of making recommendations of what additional places to see for the rest of the day based on personal interests. The meet up in the morning at the gate was easy and friendly, we quickly made it through the queues at the gate (because we already had tickets), and got started immediately. Our tour ended up going a little longer than booked (no complaints there), and we saw a lot -- and I spent another 3 hours on my own exploring the site afterward, with plenty of things left to see on a future visit.

Great full day trip from Rome to check out Pompeii and the Amalfi coast. We were lucky to be alone on the tour and when we asked for some changes to the timetable the guide and driver were very accommodating. Transportation is great although we hit some traffic. We also took a boat from Positano to Amalfi (best photos) which was not obvious in the itinerary. Not included in the price but quite cheap. Overall experience was very enjoyable and highly recommended if you want to get our of Rome for a day.

everything was well organised and we had an overall delightful experience with our archaeologist-guide. we spent almost 3 extra hours after the end of the tour, to stroll around, revisit some of the places in our own pace and discover some of the buildings that weren’t included in the activity.

Wonderful guide with lots of great info. I highly recommend a guided tour - without a knowledgeable guide, it would’ve been very confusing.

Our guide was expert. In 2 hours we have a very good picture of Pompeii and his history.
