      What a lovely experience with Paulo. The best thing about this trip was that it was a small group! We went to three different wineries and had a variety of tastings. In total, I think I had wine worth more than a bottle! Some tourists had to decline some tastings because they were getting drunk, not because the wine was bad. The lunch was also good. While it was a little short of fine dining, my expectations were definitely met. Serving itself was fast and organized in a beautiful garden. Some free time here and there for photos, and Paulo went above and beyond to make everyone happy. I definitely made new friends during the tour and took many videos and photos that have made my friends and family super jealous. Given the included lunch and the amount of wine we had, the value of this trip was excellent!

      This was such a lovely tour and experience - really enjoyed it. Steve (guide) and Miguel (guide in training) made such great company - truly fantastic guides that made all the difference. Many wine tours can feel a bit stilted when trying to get so many strangers to get along, but this was a really great and friendly time. Highly recommend! This tour does skew to the port side (unsurprisingly) versus wine so be advised if port is not your thing, but this was a great and fun introduction to the Douro Valley. Would recommend

      Filipa could not have been more knowledgable or generous if she tried! We opted for the wine tours rather than the cruise and had fantastic time with a small group of fellow travellers learning all about port, the valley and the history of the area. The traditional lunch was delicious, in a charming setting. Filipa was patient with us and really, just pleasant to be around! We got there safely (she handled some of the valley’s more treacherous roads with ease) and even found a few beautiful photo spots – which Filipa was happy to take for us. Really couldn’t recommend it enough for the money; a fantastic excursion from Porto for the day… and back in time to explore the south side of the bridge and grab dinner afterwards.
