Full description
Experience a walking tour through the streets of the historical center of Porto, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the city through its neighborhoods, buildings, and streets on a 3-hour guided trip. Enjoy old palaces, charming churches, and lively neighborhoods. See the famous iron bridge, engineered by Teófilo Seyrig, the Port wine cellars, and the characteristic Rabelo boats lined up along the quay which preserve the memory of old times when they used to transport the wine casks. Your guide will explain how, in the 12th century, the city grew around the construction of the cathedral, and has survived several Moorish and Castilian invasions as well as the French military invasions in the 19th century. Along the way, stroll along Aliados Avenue to the place that served as a backdrop to the first proclamation of the Republic of Portugal.

A great introduction to Porto with information on the highlights of the city, our guide Valter was fun to be with, knowledgable & showed us parts of the city we would not have seen without him.He also gave us good recommendations for restaurants & places to go not on the usual tourist path, would definitely recommend this tour to others.

We’ve visited Porto for the first time, thus I’ve decided to begin with a guided 3 hrs guided walking tour for (4 people). The meeting point was by the Cathedral, Se. There we met Philipa, and she was absolutely amazing, knowing, very sociable and kind, she gave us more than we expected, and we stayed with the feeling that she could have giving us much more if we just had more time with her. I recommend taking this tour even if you stay a week in Porto. It is a great experience to begin with!

Valter was an excellent guide. He shared so many interesting stories about Porto's history with us. We learned. We also enjoyed the coffee break with the pasteis de nata and the little Port tasting in the chocolate cup. He also gave us tips on what we should try to eat while in Porto. We enjoyed our walking tour very much. Thank you Valter
