  • Learn how to drink Czech beer like the locals
  • Taste 3 delicious Czech brews
  • Explore the exciting history of beer in the Czech Republic
Full description
Meet your knowledgeable guide outside the Rudolfinum concert hall for the start of a tour focused on the famous Pilsner Urquel lager of the Czech Republic. Hear how the amber brew prevented riots in the Czech town of Plzeň, but started a revolution in the world of beer. Taste unpasteurized Pilsner beer straight from the brewery, and take your first steps to becoming a true master of the drink by learning how to pour the perfect pint in the first pub stop. Discover why some people refer to beer drinking as a national sport via the pub’s unique way of displaying drinking statistics around Europe. Continue to the second pub to discover a hidden gem of Czech beer culture at a venue that has not changed in the past couple of decades. Try one of the best dark lagers in the world, and indulge in some traditional Czech humor from the art on the walls.  End your beer culture tour at a very traditional Czech restaurant, where you will taste the most popular domestic brew in the Czech Republic. Hear the fantastic mythology behind its origins, and get the chance to sample some traditional Czech food, including arguably the best goulash in Prague. By the end of the tour you should be able to pronounce "Na zdraví" ("to your health") the way that the locals do. Your guide will happily provide recommendations for other places in Prague worth visiting - and possibly join you for a couple of beers!

We were a group of 6 persons from different countries, the tour was held in english. Our guide, Kuba, was super friendly and the stories he told us were really informative. He was able to speak english very well and really tried to deliver us some recommendations where to take some drinks afterwards. Additionally he told us about a good place to watch sports the next day. So all in all we would, in any case, recommend it to each tourist, who would like to experience a wonderful intercultural evening and learn a lot about Czech beer!

One of the highlights of our Prague visit was the beer tour. Julia, our guide, was very friendly and informative. During the 3 hour tour we heard about the history of beer making, how to prepare beer at home and learn about differences between various beers. In addition we had the time to interact with people from other places, which was great
