Wine, which has always been part of the Italian tradition, is an inevitable drink on Sardinian tables. Its importance, both culinary and historical, dates to the time of Sardinian ancestors who, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds in Sardinia, were skilled winemakers. Since Roman times, Dorgali has been known as the land of vineyards. Here, owning a vineyard has become a tradition, since wine is not only a drink of family and friendship, but also the symbol of a wealth that comes from the hard work of wine growers and traditions handed down over the years.

Meet your guide and head to the Oddoene Valley. Drive past olive groves and take in the imposing silhouette of the Supramonte mountains. Once you reach the Rio Flumineddu at the bottom of the valley, head out on your e-bike tour. Ride past beautiful natural pools and waterfalls. Make your way through a dirt path along the typical vineyards of Cannonau. Discover the traces left over the millennia by the people who inhabited the Oddoene Valley. See a Domus di Janas tomb dating back to 4000 B.C., the ruins of the Giants' Tomb dating back to 1500 B.C., a Nuraghe built on a granite hillock, and the Madonna del Buon Cammino Church dating back to 1600. Enjoy an aperitif with local products before ending your e-bike tour.

Following a pickup from your hotel, depart for Orgosolo for the first stop of your tour. Enjoy some sightseeing in the town while visiting the historical center and the many murals. Your guide will tell you about the history of Orgosolo and you’ll also get to know more about Sardinia's history. Then, continue by jeep as you visit the mountains of the Supramonte. At the top of Monte Novo San Giovanni, you’ll have a wonderful view over central Sardinia and the Supramonte area. Looking over the beautiful forest of Sas Baddes, you will see the highest peaks of the island in the Gennargentu chain of moutains and, on clear days, you can also see the sea. The last stop will be for a typical lunch with the shepherds where all the products by the family in Orgosolo. Taste the classic dishes of Sardinia: pecorino cheese, roasted piglet, boiled sheep, and the Sardinian crispy bread pane carasau. Enjoy your food with some typical cannonau red wine and spirits such as mirto and grappa. You’ll then depart back to the starting point of your tour.

Start the tour with pickup from your hotel in Orosei or Sos Alinos. First, drive to the Su Barone Nature Reserve, in the territory of Orosei, an area known for its spectacular wetlands and beaches. After exploring the natural scenery, head over to the Nuraghe di Osalla Tower which is settled in a strategic position over the landscape and boasts spectacular views. Then, head over to a local farm and meet the farmer. Together, take a walk amongst the vineyards and fields of flowers. During the stroll, get to know the secrets of cultivating and harvesting grapes and learn about how the wine is made.  Next, taste some of the farm products, including Cannonau wine - Sardinia's most typical red wine, olive oil, and honey. If you wish, purchase some of these delicious products in the farm shop to take home with you. Finally, get dropped off back at your hotel in Orosei or Sos Alinos, or, in agreement with the guide, a different location en route.

Experience Dorgali with a guided visit to a local Park Museum. Journey through a trail of vegetation, lakes, waterfalls and domestic farm animals. Taste local produce and enjoy wine tasting in a local restaurant. Begin with a guided tour of the Parco Museo, created from the renovation of an old farm, transformed into the largest ethnographic museum in Sardinia. Walk a 400-metre-long trail through megalithic passages, ancient trees, Mediterranean vegetation, small lakes and waterfalls. See a real farm with domestic and wild animals, the perfect setting for children. Have the opportunity to taste typical local products, platters of cold meats, cheeses and drink the famous Cannonau wine.  Make your own way to the Ispinigoli restaurant, about 4 km from the Park Museum, for a wine tasting. Surround yourself within the greenery of the vineyard and be guided to the discovery of Sardinian oenology. Taste three labels, a sparkling wine, a white wine and a red wine, accompanied by local products.
