Full description
Start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Puerto Iguazu. Travel for 5-km to the Puerto Macuco forest base on the Argentinian side of the Iguazu National Park. From the visitor center, embark on a thrilling hike through the jungle, descending 100 meters until you arrive at the river.  From here, climb aboard a specially designed boat and sail for another 6 kilometers through the canyon of the Iguaçu Lower River towards the waterfalls. A tip, if you want the best views and picture opportunities, try to sit on the right side of the boat. Enjoying crashing through the rapids, then continue on to the base of the Salto Tres Mosqueteros to see the Brazilian Jumps and Devil's Throat waterfalls. Feel the incredible rush of emotions as you get close to the incomparable Salto San Martin waterfalls, the largest cascade that can be approached by boat. To finish the tour, disembark at the pier located in front of the island San Martín, from where you can walk along with a network of boardwalks through the lower circuit of the falls. The current caused by the waterfalls will provide you with moments of great excitement and adrenaline - as you end this unforgettable tour. Great full day exploring the falls from Argentina. Pick up was 90 minutes late, I had to WhatsApp the company. There were only 3 of us in total which made it seem like a private tour. The boat ride was fantastic and a highlight. The only issue was lack of clarity regarding the itinerary for the day, there were lots of periods waiting to find our guide and what the next part of the day would be. Overall a great day.

Most amazing experience we ever had and so worth to travel so far from Europe. Our guide Milene was most helpful, well prepared and all day was organised, so we could only enjoy. She answered all our questions, told us so much about Natural park's history, flora and fauna, life and customs in South-America generally. She speeks so good English, it was pure fun under her guidance :) We definitely recommend her!!

Guide friendly, but tour lacked organisation

We did a one day tour to Iguazú Falls from the Argentinian side that included the boat ride. There was a lack of clarity around pick up time, for instance the confirmation email suggested we would be collected between 6 and 8am. We did not receive any emails/updates from the hotel until the guide arrived to the hotel at 10:45. The guide was very friendly and did his best to manage a group of both English and Spanish speakers. He was not aware that we had booked a boat tour until we asked where this would fit in in the itinerary. We did the boat tour in the end which was lots of fun. Overall we had a great experience seeing the falls which are beautiful and it was a really enjoyable day, but I felt like a trip of this price deserved a detailed itinerary and some more information on the history of the falls.
