Full description
Explore the best of Cairo’s monuments on a full-day coach tour from Hurghada. See the Giza Plateau and Egyptian Museum, home to more than 120,000 relics of Egyptian history. A tour representative will pick you up in the early morning from your hotel in Hurghada for a coach transfer to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, head into the city center to wander the galleries of the remarkable Egyptian Museum, home to an astonishing collection of relics from the pre-dynastic era to the Pharaonic era and the Greco-Roman period. One highlight of the museum is the artifacts of the child King Tutankhamen, but make sure to take some time with the displays of other Pharaonic gods and goddess and visit the mummies room to learn about mummification in ancient Egypt. Then hop on board a Felucca, a type of sailing boat typical in Egypt, and cross over the Nile. After lunch, your Egyptologist guide will take you to the stunning Pyramids of Giza in the Giza Plateau. The oldest of the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World, the pyramids of Cheops, Khafre, and Mykerinos form the major highlight of the Giza Necropolis. Finally, drive back to Hurghada for a hotel drop-off. Alternatively, upgrade your trip to a private customizable tour. Make the most of your trip from Hurghada to Cairo with your very own minivan and personal driver and guide. We had our French guide Ibrahim who spoke very well and was very good advice, moreover, we had it for us 2, if you speak French, I hope you will fall on him! I would like everyone to have it as a guide. Only downside, the drivers ate some of the food we had and the one who took us to the hotel only understood Arabic.

The drive to Cairo was very exhausting, but what you get to see it was definitely worth it. Unfortunately we only met our guide Mohamed at the Egyptian Museum. The passengers have already learned a lot about Cairo on the way from the airport to the museum. That was completely missing. The guide and lunch were average. The tour lives on the pyramids and the sphinx.

Nice and impressive trip

Seen many beautiful things, but the visit to the immense museum is relatively short. There is also a trip on the Nile (extra payment) that you cannot really get away with. There is also a visit to a papyrus workshop and a perfume shop with the main purpose of putting things on. As far as we are concerned, they should have skipped this and spend this time on the museum. Return trip very long, but you can adjust to that. Dense shoes are recommended for visiting the pyramids. Make sure you take money with you, because no drinks are included with lunch and every visit to a toilet costs money. Also bring enough water!
