Visiting places: Horror Highway: May 1, 1972, will never be forgotten by people in Quang Tri and Thua Thien provinces not because it is International Labor Day, but because of the horrible carnage on Vietnam Highway 1, the Horror Highway. Thousands of civilians, mostly the elders, women, children, and scores of soldiers were killed by artillery and infantry weapons in hours of shooting. Long Hung Church: one of the very few existing buildings remains in Quang Tri town during “Fire Summer” or Eastern Offensive in 1972. It is a National Relic in the town of Quang Tri Vietnam – BA5453. Quang Tri Ancient Citadel: is seen as an eye-witness of fierce battles during the anti-American resistance war in 1972. During the 81-day fighting, the citadel was almost destroyed by thousands of tons of bombs released by the US army. Nowadays, the citadel becomes a place to mark immortal victories of the Vietnamese army and people and to educate youths about the nation’s revolutionary tradition and its patriotism. Dakrong Bridge: the bridge was considered the beginning of the Ho Chi Minh Trail network, and during many years of Vietnam War, this access point was hotly contested. The Dakrong Bridge fell many times. Now it’s a grand suspension bridge, a proud thumbed nose as if to say, “You can’t knock down my bridge anymore.” On the way, tourists also have chances to meet Paco minority village. Ta Con Airport: now is the Khe Sanh Combat Base Museum, contains a boneyard of several captured U.S. tanks and aircraft destroyed during the Battle of Khe Sanh. According to the official accounts provided by the museum, 197 U.S. planes were shot down or captured during the 170-day battle. Free snacks. Enjoy the local Khe Sanh coffee (own expense). After break, our guide and car take you back to the war sites, including: Hien Luong Bridge – Ben Hai River: The Geneva Agreements on Vietnam signed in 1954 divided Vietnam into North and South with the 17th Parallel where the Ben Hai River runs through the central province of Quang Tri as a borderline. Hien Luong Bridge, also knows as the Peace Bridge, was built by the French in 1950, across Ben Hai River. It is 178 m long but it took 21 years for Vietnamese people from the North and the South to be united. Vinh Moc Tunnels and Tunnels Museum: The most highlight part of DMZ Tour during Vietnam War. The complex of Vinh Moc tunnel located deep in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone and sheltered Vinh Linh county people from the intense bombing. It is said that the cave's beauty is reminiscent of an imperial palace and very well resented with easy access, great walkways, and excellent feature lighting which made it extra special. Taking the electrical car from the parking to the foothills of the cave (2km). Admire countless stalactites with different shapes. 11:30 Lunch at a restaurant with local specialties from the people here processing. 13:00 Continue the journey to visit the Chay River - Dark Cave 13:30Getting near to the cave entrance by 400 meters long zip-lining with 10 meter high or by kayaking for those who get fear of high places. 15 meters swimming to the cave on the cool water will wake you up. At the end of the cave, mud bath is the most interesting spot that once you get dipping into it, you will not want to get out of it anymore. Take the bus from Ha Noi to Phong Nha and spend the night in a hostel. Admire the stalactites of Paradise Cave the next day. Go kayaking or ziplining, and make your way through an obstacle course. Have dinner in a restaurant, then hop on the bus. Arrive in Hue, the final destination, at 10:00 PM. On day 1, get on the bus at Camel Bus Office, at 6:00 PM in the evening. Head to Phong Nha National Park, and stop for a short break at 9:00 PM. Sleep on the bus if you are tired. Then, arrive in Phong Nha Town at 3:30 AM. Walk to the hostel and then go to your room. Sleep through the night. Afterward, wake up and have breakfast in the hostel at 8:00 AM. Next, the driver will pick you up at between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. Take an electric car to Paradise Cave, discovered by the British Cave Research Association in 2005. Marvel at the beauty of this limestone cave, which resembles a palace. Stroll through the walkways of this cave, and take in the stalactites. Next, have lunch in a restaurant at 11:30 AM, and indulge in local specialties. Continue to the Chay River at 1:00 PM. Fly to the cave entrance by zip line if you want. Paddle there by kayak if you are afraid of heights. Swim in the cave, or explore an obstacle course at the river too. Dip in a mud bath if you like. Transfer back to Phong Nha at 4:30 PM. Then, get to the hostel at 5:00. Rest and have dinner. Finally, get on the bus to Hue and arrive here at 10:00 PM to finish your trip.

Your driver and guide will collect you from your hotel in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha to begin your 1-day cave tour First, you will arrive at Phong Nha Cave, formed an incredible 400 million years ago. Ride along the river to arrive at the mouth of the cave, taking in the breathtaking cave sand beaches and ancient rock formations. Explore the cave, getting off half way back to the entrance to go further by foot, so that you will have the chance to enjoy the cave up-close. After arriving back at the boat port in Phong Nha Village, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Continue on to the Paradise Cave, stretching an incredble 31 kilometers in total, with heights of up to 72 meters and width of 150 meters at certain points. It is labelled as one of the world's most beautiful dry caves.

After about 45 minutes of driving, you will get to the Paradise bus station. From there, you will trek in the jungle for about 40 minutes to get to the mouth of Paradise Cave. After walking up, you may be tired, you can take a short break in the waiting area (cool down) and then enter Paradise Cave. You have around an hour to discover the beauty of the first kilometer of the cave with your tour guide’s fascinating explanations. When you finish exploring the cave, you will take a buggy back to the bus station. Saying goodbye to the “Paradise”, you will come back to your normal life with lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, after lunch, your tour guide will help you get ready for your next adventure activities: Zipline over Chay River, Dark Cave river walk, and the natural mud pool. The mud bath is a highlight of the Dark Cave tour. After the mud bath, you clean yourself in the river then kayak back to the zipline station, where you can zipline or swim in the river (time dependent). You will have a chance to bathe to remove any lasting mud before you return to your accommodation in Phong Nha Town. End of trip!

Next, you will continue on boat and on foot to discover the beauty of stalagmites and stalactites with interesting shapes of faces and animals inside Phong Nha Cave.
