Lovely old boat, you can watch the engines, enjoy a drink, walk about and even play the piano! At the farm you can meet and feed the animals, kids loved that, hear about farming. Cream tea was divine, fresh scones, tiny cakes, excellent coffee and every type of tea. After tea we watched sheep shearing, and sheep dog work, rounding up and settling free the sheep. Comfortably seated. Full up and happy ready for the gentle cruise home. Some passengers had taken lunch bbq, I'm told it was good. You miss the farm visit but still get the sheep show!

The farm tour was equally enjoyed by our whole family (toddler and adults) the Earnslaw boat ride is about 25 minutes long to Walter Peak farm. Feeding the animals and seeing the sheep herding shearing demonstrations were family favorites. Our three year old especially enjoyed feeding the deer and Highland Cattle.

The cruise was cool. It was cloudy, so I couldn’t see 100% of the scenery, but it was beautiful regardless. Tea was delicious and seeing the animals was an added bonus. The massive crowd was why it didn’t get 5 stars. Too many people. Felt really weird.
