Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

2. Manuel Antonio National Park Tour

The park alone offers 3 unique hiking trails that differ in level from smooth and flat to quite sharp and steep. On this tour you will have the best nature guides with you who will help you understand the environment. The track you’ll take is actually smooth and charming and is around 2 miles long. During the walk your guide will describe the species you’ll see, and you’ll be able to take beautiful pictures or simply enjoy the scene. Among the best parts of this excursion is that the Manuel Antonio National Park hosts 3 of the 4 current monkey species of Costa Rica. Half way through the hike you’ll enjoy a relaxing break at the 3rd Beach situated on the southern part of the national park. You’ll have around twenty minutes to relax on the beach or in the calm waters of the bahía. During the hike it is very possible to see birds, reptiles, and sloths, as well as plants and insects such as orchids and butterflies. Your guides use Pentax and Swarovski telescopes that you can use to view wildlife and take photos under an alternative point of view. Transportation back to your lodging will be provided after you concluded the tour.

One of my favorite things we did while in Quepos. I had doubts about how many animals we'd really see and was entirely blown away. Highly recommend adding this tour to the beginning of your stay in Quepos to get familiar with the animals in the jungle. We ended up inspired to do a hike through Rainmaker park on a separate day and it was one of the best hikes of my life. The fresh food and drink at the end of the tour was a lovely surprise.

This tour was incredible! Our guide was very experienced and welcoming he took amazing photos of snakes, insects, frogs, and even a scorpion. Make sure you plan to be outside in the jungle at night, wear long pants and appropriate shoes, some people in our group stepped in a line of ants and got bites on their legs. This tour is not for the faint of heart but it is truly a worthwhile experience.

Wonderful, incredibly informative trip through a jungle (it's a privately owned property, so you're not too far off the grid) to see nocturnal creatures and flora and fauna. A wonderful nature hike with a great look into some rarely seen aspects of the Costa Rican ecosystem.

The day tour with Allen C was amazing! We saw so many different animals and Allen shared lots on habitats, behaviors, so much! I would highly recommend this tour.

The tour was very good. Our guide Michelle took a lot of time to take very good photos for us.
