It's a great experience. Quite a physical challenge but with infinite satisfaction. We did the entire route on foot but there is the possibility of doing it on horseback (this is not included and they charge you between 90-20 soles depending on where you take the horse, since they offer it to you at different points along the way). Another important thing is that if you take the horse there is a point where you have to walk up because they don't go up, they are about 500 meters but very vertical. We have come in winter and you have to wear cold clothes for the first few hours, then a backpack to take off when you walk and there is sun and when you are upstairs it is very cold again. Spectacular views! The very attentive guide all the way. Breakfast a little poor but the food back very good. Totally recommended!!! Beware: The transport moves a lot and the road uphill looks dangerous. PS: do not plan anything else that day because you arrive very tired.

Long day long drive early start 100% worth it! Well organised, hike is easy just need to go slow but you can also rent a horse if needed. Views from the top are amazing, all the surrounding is beautiful not just the rainbow mountain itself. Breakfast and lunch buffet were delicious. All well organised and smooth, also when you hike you'll be free to go at your own pace, the guide simply stays with the back of the group. One word of advise: at the breakfast place and when you'll start the hike it's much colder than in Cusco, make sure you layer up for it

This tour of Rainbow Mountain is difficult because of the high altitude. But the trip is well worth it, especially because of Inka Altitude tour company and our excellent tour guide Jose. He took good care of us and assisted anyone who needed extra care. He was also very knowledgeable not just of the mountains but of the flora, the animals, llamas, alpacas, condors etc., the numerous communities of indigenous peoples and their cultures, and much much more. I highly recommend this tour. The broad vistas are stunning !

We were picked up in front of our hostel. Nice and involved guide. Nice breakfast and lunch. Guide pays attention to you and gives a lot of explanations.

Amazing! Just be prepared for a long, dusty climb, but totally worth it. Coca tea sold at several places along the way helped a lot.
