Dubrovnik: City Walls Sunset Guided Tour

1. Dubrovnik: City Walls Sunset Guided Tour

Join a guided walking tour and traverse the famous city walls of Dubrovnik, a beautiful reminder of distant medieval times. Marvel at breathtaking views as you walk the 2-kilometer wall surrounding the town and see for yourself why the Old City of Dubrovnik is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dubrovnik has preserved its city walls despite changing trends that once suggested any types of fortifications are obsolete and redundant. Admire the terracotta roofs and narrow streets from above. In addition, enjoy the clear vista over the Adriatic sea, revealing just about any boat on the horizon. This view explains why the city was successfully defended for centuries. The town survived many wars, including the recent Homeland War from 1991-1995, but Dubrovnik was renewed in a manner that the damage is not visible. Find out why the city of Dubrovnik has inspired artists, writers and photographers as you explore the ancient Mediterranean city and wander along the elegant walls.

An amazing experience, and a tour I would highly recommend. Our tour guide was incredibly friendly, and the fact this tour is only done in small groups, it gives you a more personal experience. It also means you are able to ask any questions you have and the tour guide is only happy to answer them. It was informative and fun, the tour guide keeps you involved, asking you questions as you go (have a guess how many…. / how old do you think….) to keep you involved. A lot better than just having somebody talk at you all throughout the tour. It is incredibly informative and I learnt so much from this tour. If you are debating between this tour or another, definitely take this one. You certainly won’t regret it.
