Hvammsvik is a beautiful bay offering 8 natural hot springs of varying temperatures – on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Situated along the shoreline, it offers eight natural hot springs of varying temperatures – mixing geothermal water with seawater from the ocean. Since they are situated on the Atlantic Ocean, the water level changes depending on the time of day. That is why it’s called the ever-changing experience. Don’t miss out on that! During the drive you will see: •Mosfellsdalur – lush and scenic lowland. Truly picturesque valley and the perfect countryside getaway. •Mosfellsheiði – extensive moorland area between Mosfellssveit and Þingvallavatn. •Þórufoss – Waterfall and a Game of Thrones shooting location. The waterfall is known to freeze over the wintertime. •Hvalfjörður – the landscape is varied and beautiful. TOUR DESCRIPTION After pick-up we will head directly out of the city. We’re driving through Hvalfjörður making our way towards Hvammsvík, unique hot springs located in Hvalfjörður. Fun fact about Hvalfjörður, during World War II, a naval base of the British and American navies was in this fjord. It also used to be the main road between Reykjavík and Borgarnes – until 1998, when a tunnel was built under the ocean to shorten the trip considerably. With little less than an hour drive from Reykjavík, Hvammsvík hot springs were opened to the public in 2022 and was recently named the Number 1 best thing to do in the world in 2023 by Timeout Magazine. What people are saying about Reykjanes Peninsula

There was a mix up to start with as we thought we has hotel pick up but this sadly was not the case as they only pick up from central Reykjavík so u would say be mindful if this. I was called by the company to ask why we qwre late while we were waiting in our hotel lobby so then panick set in and there was a lot of tears. The operator from get yout guide was brilliant, a taxi was ordered to pick us up at taka us to the bus terminal pick up point which was about 17 minutes away from our hotel and the taxi was all paid for. Our guide was amazing from start to finish. Before the tour even started he took us to the harbour and we saw a hump back Whale which was just lovely. We then went onto an amazing view I couldn't even begin to describe. It looked liked something out of a special effect movie with the mountains in the background and the see view. It really was breathtaking. The Volcano hike wasn't as hard as I thought after reading others reviews

Everything was very well organised, the guide was fantastic, gave us a lot of information and was easy going. I would highly recommend this trip!

The tour covered great locations, ended calm and nice at skylagoon. Our guide and driver were amazing. Thank you.
