Full description
Tour Iceland’s famous Golden Circle on a 9-hour scenic tour, and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Silfra Fissure in the heart of Þingvellir National Park. The amazing adventure starts with a picturesque drive to the geothermal area of Geysir, the home of the one and only Geysir, for which all other so-called geysirs are named! Watch as the ground gurgles and bubbles, and super-hot water bursts from the ground with enormous force. Next, stroll down to Gullfoss Waterfall, the undisputed queen of all Iceland’s waterfalls. See the water rushing down two steps of lava layers with breathtaking power and grandeur before driving on-wards to the fascinating site that is Thingvellir National park. Þingvellir is Iceland’s only UNESCO World Heritage sSte, and the original birthplace of the world´s oldest parliament, where the Vikings would sit to make judgements and laws. It’s also the site where the great tectonic plates of America and Europe collide. You will see the continental rift up-close as you snorkel through the crystal clear blue waters of the Silfra Fissure, one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets. Swim in the otherworldly scene and see heavenly shades of blue. Enjoy the sensation of feeling weightless as you float along with the lazy current. Although the water temperature is only about 2 degrees Celsius, the super-warm dry suits you will be provided with make the adventure possible, and perfect!

Great tour and a great team, went onto this tour on 31st of Jan and our female guide was fabulous (forgot her name, ashamed that I did!). The diving instructors were awesome, Goran and Guillaume, thank you for an incredible experience and amazing photos. Can’t fault the first part of the tour (snorkelling), the second part wasn’t as amazing (mainly due to the blizzard and a hold up on the road) but still good, seeing the waterfalls and the geyser was great, need to come back in summer time for sure.

The experience was amazing. The water in August is definitely cold, but the gear provided really keeps you warm. As for the Golden Circle part of the tour, there were 2 stops (and an extra 3rd where the guide let us pet an Icelandic horse). Pick up and drop off were easy.

Great tour - great guide!

We had our tour with Ragnar. And what should I say? Rarely seen such a funny, kind-hearted person! We made a lot of additional stops and learned so much more. THANKS Ragnar! Many of us were really afraid to go into the water, it was snowing and we were warned "fingers become stiff, lips blue" - but - nothing of the kind happened !!! Note for everyone: ski clothing underneath is enough, you get a ski (like) suit there, as well as the dry suit. If you would like to have pictures taken in the Silfra column: usually no problem, I wanted to book it - unfortunately all cameras from other teams were in use (there are only 2). That really annoyed me: better bring a disposable camera or something similar just in case. Photography is NOT a problem indoors! And it's worth it SO VERY! I regret not having any pictures .. I will do it again on my next visit;)
