Full description
Discover the extraordinary sights and natural wonders of Iceland’s geothermal Geysir area, and see active geysers and cascading waterfalls along the way. The tour starts at Geysir where you can see spouting hot springs, including the most active geyser in Iceland Strokkur. Continue across the torrid landscape to Gullfoss, where you can stand next to an amazing waterfall as enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge. Spend some time exploring a cross-section of Iceland's natural wonders and geological phenomena at Thingvellir National Park, an area of such historic and geological significance it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Learn about the open-air assembly of Althing and how the landscape was husbanded over 1,000 years. See the dramatic fissures and rifts in the landscape caused by dramatic volcanic activity throughout history.

Amazing experience! Pick up was easy and well organised and our tour guide was lovely, very informative too. I just wish we had much longer at each of the sights you don’t realise how quick time flies But we throughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing trip even in deep snow ! The driver of the bus was unbelievable. Wish we had had longer at each place as no time for viewing and eating and purchasing ! We did the 6hr trip so maybe the longer one would have given more time. The time went so quickly though and each stop was fabulous. Especially Gulfoss waterfall. Although too far for my elderly Companion to walk which was a shame. That should have been spelt out I think. A must do trip

We had a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and talked about the sightings so we understand what we are seeing but also explained many things about the Icelandic culture, life, history and tradition. I don't think I would appreciate the wonders of nature if I went on the tour without a guide. It was well organised and we were able to see all the sightings whilst it was still light as there is only 7 hours of light in the day. Definitely recommend!
