Full description
Discover the extraordinary sights and natural wonders of Iceland’s geothermal Geysir area, and see active geysers and cascading waterfalls along the way. The tour starts at Geysir where you can see spouting hot springs, including the most active geyser in Iceland Strokkur. Continue across the torrid landscape to Gullfoss, where you can stand next to an amazing waterfall as enormous quantities of water tumble violently into a deep, meandering gorge. Spend some time exploring a cross-section of Iceland's natural wonders and geological phenomena at Thingvellir National Park, an area of such historic and geological significance it was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004. Learn about the open-air assembly of Althing and how the landscape was husbanded over 1,000 years. See the dramatic fissures and rifts in the landscape caused by dramatic volcanic activity throughout history.

it was good day out. sit on the right hand side of the bus so you can take pics of the beautiful sites/landscapes. first cafe hot chocolate was well nice the second and 3rd cafe hot chocolate I didn't like I don't know why it tasted different but the chocolate cake in the 3rd was well nice so that's a must for the chocolate lovers. it's cold on the face in the winter so buy something to cover the face. definitely a must even tho our tour guide was boring and I felt like falling asleep due to no excitement in the voice and alot of ermmms but still good and defo worth the money :)..

Our guide made this experience unique!

I can highly recommend this trip. I actually don‘t like tourist-hotspots and of course it was very touristy but our guide was just the best! Jónas gave us soooo much information about Iceland, its nature and the people. Yes, the attractions are pretty and unique but he made this experience even more special!!

For those who don’t have time or stamina for longer Golden CircleTours

This 6 hour tour was perfect for us. We had our 2 small kids, and 2 seniors relatives with us so we took this shorter 6 hour tour. The guide was excellent, keeping us entertained with interesting facts about the country in general and the sites we visited. She had a great sense of humor too.
