Full description
Travel through the farming regions of southern Iceland and experience the Land of Fire and Ice firsthand. On this full-day (9-hour) tour you’ll encounter black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, powerful volcanoes, and majestic glaciers. This stunning natural landscape has been shaped over the centuries by the combined activity of glaciers and volcanoes. Marvel at the rainbows at the Skógafoss waterfall and take a walk on the black sand Reynisfjara beach with its surrounding basalt columns. Fantastic introduction to the south island. Long journey and lots of time spent in the mini bus, but great driver Roman helped to break up the journey with funny stories and observations. Good value for money, booked the day before and still got a place. Picked up from bus stop 6, very convenient. Booked via the GYG app. We also went on the Laval tour in Vik. Not cheap but well worth it. No food included so take your or places to buy oh the way. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience on our full day tour. Unfortunately, we got lost on our way to our pick up stop and missed the bus by a couple of minutes. We frantically called and they graciously returned to pick us up! They could have easily left us behind, but we appreciate their sympathy! The tour guide was so informative and had great stories about the Icelandic folklore and history! Overall, we were very glad we decided to book a tour instead of driving the whole way ourselves. My friends and I would definitely book again!

Incredible experience. Collection was easy and hassle free. On moving to the bus for the tour we were greeted by our guide Simon who was incredible! So much fun, full of interesting information but did not spend the whole journey on the mic which was so much better then other tours we did. Everywhere we visited on the journey was pretty incredible, it did rain so the Black Beach so this was a quick visit but others spent longer there. The glacier wasn't overly impressive but by this point we were wet, cold and a little tired. The falls were amazing, be-prepared to climb some serious steps (527) at the first fall (Skogafoss) but totally worth it. The second fall (Seljalandfoss) was our personal highlight, the rain had cleared and walking behind the waterfall was incredible and beautiful especially with the Sun coming back out. Highly recommend this trip and hopefully you get Simon from Gray Line Iceland as your guide.
