We had a great day- picked up from hotel on time, fairly easy transfer to bigger coach( only real issue was pushy English tourists that couldn’t wait patiently to get their names checked off!) Bus driver and tour guid were amazing, and we had a wonderful trip out to the Thingvelar national park, the geysir, and the stunning waterfall. After we headed back to the bus hostel, we then had a short break before transferring to another bus for the sky lagoon. It was sensational! The whole experience- the warm water, icy cold dip, sauna etc. was wonderful. I can highly recommend the whole tour, we loved it!

Our guide Karen was brilliant and our driver Milan was very good. Karen knew everything about everything! She was full of information about the things we saw and passed by, and she was funny. We learned much about Iceland and the things we stopped to see were interesting. The most exciting for me was seeing where the two tectonic plates meet. Even though the weather was foggy and rainy at times during the day it just seemed to authenticate the whole Icelandic experience. I was glad that I had brought crampons as it was slippery and icy on some stretches and would advice others to bring them when visiting in the winter. We finished the day at Sky Lagoon which I definitely recommend every body tries! The 7 step spa was lovely and the view from the lagoon and sauna amazing! A really good day!

I have 4 stars cause the bus we were on had broken seats which caused some frustration between passengers. And the first sight thingvellir national park was so dark that you really couldn’t see anything at all so I would recommend bringing a head torch.
