Full description

Travel safely and comfortably from Reykjavik to the Golden Circle on a day tour to some of Iceland’s most stunning sights. Start the journey with a visit to the idyllic Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation center, where you can learn about the magic behind growing delicious, pesticide-free tomatoes and cucumbers with the aid of geothermal heat, which Iceland has in abundance. Next up is the Geysir Hot Spring area where Strokkur Geyser shoots water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes in an impressive display of nature’s forces. The colorful landscapes, bubbling mud pools, and steaming geysers make this a truly memorable experience. Continue to Gullfoss waterfall, created by the river Hvítá, which tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 32 meters (105 ft.) deep. Here you are given the opportunity to stand next to the majestic waterfall and perhaps even feel its spray of water on your skin. The tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates pull apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.

A really nice tour. Great guide. Staff were friendly. I was moved twice in the coach because I was a single traveller - there was a broken seat belt, and a group of loud tourists (who didn't leave the coach at two of the stops) refused to let another passenger sit next to them. A long day, so bring snacks. Several opportunities to buy food, though even more expensive than in Reykjavik.

Karl was a very informative tour guide. He was very pleasant and had a lot of knowledge. This is not his fault but his voice is very soothing and the motion of the bus can make you sleep in between attractions. Probably cause we are packing a lot in in a week. The farm was very interesting. Great soup. Dont get the bloody Mary. It is not very good. The gesuir is cool for a second. The gift store is better. The water fall is a spectacular site and the walk through the tectonic plates was worth it. Even better that it was snowing and felt like iceland.

Gus and Magnus were EXCELLENT tour guide and driver, respectively! They took us where we needed to be in such a timely and organized manner, Gus gave us incredible facts along the way (he was so friendly), and Magnus kept us safe! The help desk at BSI had a kind employee who made our experience fantastic from moment one! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trip (the soup changed my life) and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND requesting Gus as your guide!
