Full description
Experience the scenic beauty of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula on a bus tour from Reykjavik, and discover why it is often referred to as “Iceland in Miniature.” Depart the city center and travel along the west coast. Enter a landscape of white and black sand beaches, cliffs full of nesting birds, spectacular mountains and volcanic craters. Discover the area's incredibly rich trout lakes and salmon rivers, see lush valleys and unique harbors in charming fishing villages. It all begins with the Snæfellsnes glacier at the peak of Snæfellsjökull volcano, the highest mountain of the peninsula. Experience first-hand why this majestic landscape has captured the imagination for many years, and why it inspired Jules Verne to write his classic science fiction novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”

What an incredible tour! The sights were absolutely majestic & as one of the first tours of our trip in Iceland we were thrilled, it exceeded every expectation! Our tour was made all that much better by our guide Albert! He is AWESOME and deserves all the praise!! Funny, extremely informative… he took us to some of the most breathtaking photo stops!! We lucked out with beautiful weather and were even able to squeeze in unplanned stops. Thank you for an incredible day Albert! It brought us immense joy! For anyone on the fence, this tour is a no brainer… volcanos, black sand beaches and so so much more! Just do it!

This excursion is a marvel!!! Despite the high number of km covered and the duration of the excursion (12 hours), the guide (Kalli) stopped us at many spots where we could observe: seals, waterfalls, black sand beaches, with cliffs, mountains with eternal snow… The views were magnificent from start to finish! Only negative point: the stop point for lunch. The restaurant in which we were dropped off was overwhelmed and did not even serve us after 45 minutes of waiting when we had ordered a simple fish & chips! So remember to take a picnic so as not to be bothered Apart from that, the excursion was the most beautiful we have done in Iceland! Do not miss !

Despite the promises that were not kept, it was a very nice experience!

When we booked the tour, we received the promise of a German guide, but when we started the trip, he knew nothing and pointed out that RV Excursions only run German tours on Saturdays. Despite language problems, however, it was an unforgettable experience, the Snaefellsnes peninsula is just too beautiful! The coasts and beaches and lava fields are nothing short of impressive, as are the frozen cascades. Winter gives the landscape its very own magic, in which an incomparable, unique beauty resides. Despite the icy wind, it was by no means as cold as one would expect in Iceland: only -5 degrees! The wind did make it feel colder, but it also created breathtaking waves! Really unique, untouched nature there!
