Full description

Come aboard a luxurious yacht and see the incredible wealth of marine wildlife that lives in the waters just off the shores of Reykjavík City. See some of Iceland's majestic whales, dolphins, and porpoises on this small-group whale watching tour.

Your ship sets sail from Reykjavík's Old Harbor and sails among the small islands in the Faxaflói Bay, as well as along the coast of Reykjavík, providing you with fantastic views of the city as you search for the wildlife in the water.

Spot minke and humpback whales, dolphins, and porpoises. If you're lucky, you may even see a few orcas (also known as killer whales) as well as a wealth of other species.

Make the most of three panoramic deck areas aboard the luxury yacht, moving about the decks to get the best views and take advantage of great photo opportunities. The decks are also partially covered, providing some shelter from wind and rain.

The professional team on board the Amelia Rose is very experienced in spotting whales and is dedicated to making sure you leave with a smile.

And the limited number of visitors on this small-group tour means that the decks won't be overcrowded either, so you'll enjoy a more personal, meaningful, and memorable experience.

Amelia Rose is designed as an offshore vessel, making it better adapted to take on the turbulent waves of Iceland's waters, resulting in a smoother sail with less probability of passengers experiencing nausea or seasickness.

Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff, beautiful yacht, excellent facilities. They have everything you need, and more, to make it as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. The woman leading the excursion was brilliant, and gave us some great tips for spotting the whales out at sea. We were lucky enough to have a young male humpback come right up to the boat, and stay with us for the entire time. It was an immensely special experience.

An amazing trip and a must do whilst visiting Iceland! We saw minke and humpback whales, porpoises, dolphins and even some puffins! A great day and both the captain and our guide Lucky were great. Very informative and knowledgable, would definitely recommend as a must do excursion. Snacks and drinks also available at the bar - the hot chocolate with whipped cream definitely helped in the crisp cold morning!

It was a good experience. During most of the trip (almost 3h) we get to know the most abundant species that lives in Iceland, through our guide. We saw a lot of dolphins and whales, as well as a few shy Puffins. It get pretty cold on open sea and the boat guys offered blankets for everyone who wanted them.
