Bustravel Iceland are fantastic - when we went on this tour we witnessed a fantastic Northern lights show (after rescheduling due to poor weather). We were lucky enough to have Siggi as our tour guide, who went above and beyond to show and tell us about the Northern Lights. His passion for the Northern Lights was infectious and his predictions about when and how they would show were pretty much spot on. Not only did he tell us how to spot the lights, he also showed us how to capture them on our phones/cameras and was kind enough to share his spectacular photographs, which he captured on his DSLR, with us at the end of the tour. Fabulous.
The snowmobiling was cancelled because of bad weather, we were contacted the day before by customer services who were so helpful and lovely, and were given the choice to do buggying instead, which we agreed to. Haffy the golden circle tour guide was amazing, he still took us out even though it was just me and my partner on the tour, it was literally a private tour, such a wonderful day and then the buggying at the end was amazing. Honestly would recommend, you won't be disapointed at all!
Great experience!!! If this iscyour first time, I highly recommend you this tour. If you are lucky maybe you can visit an ice cave as we did with Trym! He was fun, helpful and natural at the glacial walking. If you have done it before somewhere, I’d go for the 5h instead.
Bus was 25 minutes late leaving the terminal. Not what you want at 10pm on a cold night. Did not see the Northern Lights. Was a bit disappointed that 3 buses off loaded the passengers in a small car park and we all had to crowd around the buses to watch for the lights.
We went Tuesday night of this week with Ingo (spelling?) on the small group tour and he was great. Very humorous and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the night -- the lights were limited but definitely worth the sightings.
