Full description
Ginga Tropical: Brazilian roots will bring you a multicultural show with lots of joy and energy, gathering on stage various cultures of this tropical country. For about 3 hours, you are going to enjoy every Brazilian dance style. After your hotel pick-up, if you choose the show with dinner option, you will arrive at a traditional Barbecue Dinner, all you can eat style. Brazilian Churrascarias (barbecue places) offer a wide variety of sides and alternative options. In case you decide to stick with a vegetarian option, you will still leave delighted. For those who preferred the show only option, they will be picked up at their hotels before heading to the show by bus.  You will get to know every Brazilian region through dance performance and clothing. Ginga Tropical: Brazilian roots combines diversity and culture with The Journal of Theatre, the Northeast, the Amazon and the Pampas with its Folklore, Bahia with their mystical rituals and Rio de Janeiro with its incomparable bohemian Lapa, their dance halls and their legendary Tricksters. A breathtaking show, with fantastic drummers and beautiful Mulatas dressed in outstanding carnival costumes. Even when you think that the show is close to the end, you may be surprised with interactive dancers. It’s time to shake your hips, so don’t be shy because the show must go on!

A very good but unconventional show.

An enjoyable show though we did not always understand what was going on so a bit more of an introduction to each segment might have been useful. I also expected some samba and bossa nova from the online description but did not see anything that I recognised as samba. Also the audience warm up act is a bit awkward and the dancing quality variable ( though some are excellent). No photography at all is allowed now. A fun night out especially if you are with a group of friends but not as good as the Argentine tango show we saw in Buenos Aires. Re the meal be aware that it is not at the show venue but at a restaurant about 10 minutes drive away: there is plenty of food so long as you eat meat but no drinks are included , not even water, in your ticket price. The local guide Luis from Greyline is very good and ensured everyone was picked up and dropped off at the relevant hotels .

Great time

A show that is not for everyone.

Firstly, we were not picked up despite the time allowed, as the driver was there earlier and left after waiting 1 minute. We were only able to join the tour thanks to the employee at the hotel. Secondly, it is a show that is very confused and personally too childlike for me. But the restaurant where we ate before was very good and had nice staff.
