    Experience Rio's Carnival, the most popular and the best parade in the world. This incredible cultural event is characterized by its freedom of expression, and creative and fun atmosphere represented through samba school parades, carnival balls, and street carnival. The official parade takes place in the Rio de Janeiro Sambadrome, created by renowned Brazilian architect, Oscar Niemeyer with capacity for 80,000 spectators.  Start the tour with a shared shuttle transfer to the Sambodrome, from main hotels in Copacabana, Leme, Ipanema, Leblon, Lapa, Barra da Tijuca, Centro, and Rio Cruise Port. Choose to spectate the incredible event from 5 days of the parade which are divided into 3 categories: Access Group, Special Group and Parade of Champions. – February 25th, 2022 (Friday): Access Group (2nd league) – February 26th, 2022 (Saturday): Access Group (2nd league) – February 27th, 2022 (Sunday): Special Group (1st league) – February 26th, 2022 (Monday): Special Group (1st league) – March 5th, 2022 (Saturday): Champions’ Parade (“All-Star Parade” with the 6 best schools) Access Group - Friday, February 25th and Saturday, February 26th On these dates, watch as some schools compete to get access to the main league for the following year. This event is perfect for those that want to experience the magic of carnival but have a limited budget. Special Group - Sunday, February 27th and Monday, February 28th With this option, experience the main days of the Carnival Parade. Marvel at the best Samba Schools in Rio de Janeiro showing all their creativity and innovations as you enjoy a magical night in the Sambadrome. Tickets are more expensive for these days as it is the most popular parade and features the major league schools. Champions Parade - Saturday March 5th On this night, the top 6 Special Group Schools plus the Access Group champions repeat their performances. This is an extraordinary night to see the carnival champions of the year. At the end of the tour, take the return shuttle transfer back to your hotel.

    Go to the Sambadrome early and just book the transfer to return to the hotel only, if possible. We were picked up at 8:15 and it was really difficult to get a good seat when we got to the Sambadrome. Also, bring a seat cushion or 2 if seating in the grandstand.

    The parade was absolutely brilliant, however the shuttle service was poorly organised especially the return journey. We finished up taking a taxi back which was more expensive but worth it. The guide on the coach spoke poor English and gave vague instructions on where to meet and how long we would have to wait. The parade was excellent but I would not encourage anyone to use this company.

    Great service, with excellent updates & information from GYG! We were met on time at Porto Maua for our tickets exchange & the Shuttle Service to the Sambadrome! Your reps even remembered our names!!! And accommodated our two groups of 4 to be seated together! Getting onto the buses from the nearby garage needsto be organized better..too many people line cutting and more staff were needed there..but we got to the Sambadrome in plenty of time!
